Oh man. Action sidescroller. DRAGON BALL. Must own!

On that note, what's the cheapest place to import games?

Ah, but I said "Shinlon" and NOT "Shenron," which is the correct Japanese writing of the Chinese, in this case! :D

Trust me, I've had it explained a few times :P. Anyway... errr... new Japanese DB game! Rock! I know a lot of people get their import games from Lik-Sang.

Oh well. Maybe this website involving careers at my local bank will change the latter aspect. Buh-bye for now.

But GamePro has guys like "Scarry Larry", "Bro Buzz", and "Watchdog". Although they hold nothing againest EGM's Sushi-X!

Good to see Budokai 3 will have a survival mode finally...no fighter is complete without one!

I hope this DB game has some extra playable characters like Krillin+Yamcha :)

I think the answer you're looking for is at the top of the last scan. :)
You know, I think I read all the text but that. ^^;;

As for where to import games, I get mine from NCSX.

Hey, BTW, what are the Chinese names of all of the Evil Dragons? If they're in another topic, please point to them.

And yeah, Gamepro sucks monumental ass. I only read it because my brother gets it, and hey, what the Hell, right? Sushi-X is indeed the most badass game reviewer of all time, but he mysteriously disappeared after GameNow went under...

And Advance Adventure looks good. Damn good. I can't wait for it to come out, so I can take some sprite rips...

Don't know if they're in another topic, so I'll just post them here:

1-Star Dragon - Yi Xing Long
2-Star Dragon - Liang Xing Long
3-Star Dragon - San Xing Long
4-Star Dragon - Si Xing Long
5-Star Dragon - Wu Xing Long
6-Star Dragon - Liu Xing Long
7-Star Dragon - Qi Xing Long

Hope that helps. :)

Where did the Xing Long and Shenron/Shenlong difference come from? Wouldn't it make sense to call them all the same?

Advance Adventure is the name of the new Pokémon theme song, fancy that.

I definitely want this game, but I'll wait to see if it is brought over first.

"Shen Long" (written "Shenron" in katakana for the Chinese-impaired) means "Dragon God." this is the standard wish-granting dragon we see throughout the series.

The evil Dragons, however, are (mostly) named after the Dragon Balls, which are in turn designated by the number of stars in each one. The One Star Ball is "Yi Xing Qiu" (written "iishinchuu" in katakana), meaning... well... "One Star Ball." Thusly, the One Star Dragon ("Omega" or some-such in English) is "Yi Xing Long" ("iishinron"), or "One Star Dragon." And so on and so forth.

The only exception here is Liang Xing Long (or "Ryanshinron"), the Two Star Dragon. Despite its name, it came from Er Xing Qiu, the Two Star Ball. Not really sure why there's a change there... I think "liang" is closer in meaning to "both" than "two," but whatever.

Seeing the picture now? :)

So basically, Funimation screwed up when they called them all Shenron? Bastards.

Anyway, the One-Star Dragon is Syn in the dub, whereas they call him Omega only after he's absorbed the other Dragon Balls.

Not entirely, no. Why Xing Long as opposed to shinron then? As in, Yi Shinron vs Ii Shinron. I get why not Shenron, but why not all Shinron?

Shenron - The Dragon God

Shinron -- the evil DBs in another form

I think it was Toei trying to screw us with. As for a translation stand poin for the DVDs, Daimao also transcribes the DBs as the Chinese words instead of "One Star Ball", etc.

No, I mean why didn't they always say Shinron as opposed to Xing Long?

"Shenlong" = Dragon God
"Shinlon" = Numbered-Dragon

"Xing Long" is the original Chinese pronunciation of the word/character(s). "Shinlon" is the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese character(s). While they have the same meaning, they're pronounced different ways in each language.

And hey, for the Hell of it... here's what we're working on :P Explained more in-depth, there.

Just realized Julian cleaned it up a bit and added the image... ROCK! :D
