Hmmm, that is weird. Admittedly, I haven't seen the Boo arc subbed, so I had know about that. It seems like more of a description that an honorific.
It's not an honorific, it just means " Sorcerer/Wizard/Magician Babidi."

Perhaps he wants to convey that the "M" insignia means "Madoushi," and not "Majin" as some people think.
