Hmmm, if it's starting at the 23rd Budokai, it could kinda be considered to be a sequel to Advance Adventure. That itself is quite awesome.

While a consistant gameplay style would've been nice, I must agree that we can probably infer it to be the "spiritual successor" to Advance Adventure (kinda like how Legends was for the Sparking! games).

Not that the new gameplay style looks bad. Quite the contrary, actually. ;)

Dragonball Origins was a blast. Hopefully this next installment will present forth some concepts with enough variety and twists to keep the gamers occupied and entertained.

No specific expectations, I say bring it on. want.

So it's a sequel to Origins? I'm hoping to get that for Christmas, but where does Origins leave off?

I doubt it's a sequel to Origins, since Origins leaves off at the 21st Budokai, and the gameplay of this game looks completely different.

Plus, Origins was in pixel 3D, and this looks kinda cel-shaded-like.

And, only a month or two after the game was released, I don't think they'd announce a sequel so soon.

But let's hope they do at some point. ;)

I was actually shocked to discover that 'Dragonball Origins' didn't extend towards the Red Ribbon arc by the time I had completed the game. I suppose that with the release of this game, it's possible we won't be seeing the continuation of the 'Dragonball - Origins' system and concept extending towards the 23rd Budokai Tenkaichi; or even the Z-era for that matter.

As long as this game doesn't have any card system I will gladly play it. If it does, I will be very disappointed.

Also, Snail, is there a bigger version of your avatar?

The sprites are fantastic looking - should be a MUGEN fanboy's dream come true.

Also, I'm totally loving Goku & Piccolo vs. the Kaizoku Robo.

COOL!!

It's really rare to make a game that covers the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai ((How many games did that so far?!))

But if it's an RPG ala Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest and so, let's hope that they don't do the thing that I hate about these games. Which is that your party advances to high levels, and when you get a new member... He/She starts with lv. 1...!! and you have to train him/her for a hell freaking time to make him/her in equal level with the rest in order to continue the story.

But it would be awsome if the game play would be similer to the Legacy of Goku series with co-operative 2-player mode

God, if this game plays a tenth as good as it looks, it'll be the best DB game ever. It does seem that they're using early DB enemies as small-fry enemies, which is neat.

Dragonball 3 and it's Wonderswan remake, Butoden 1, Gokuden 2 and the first gameboy game, I believe. It's not THAT uncommon.

I wish I could get these types of DragonBall games on a (more current) console, instead of endless waves of fighting games. I don't play handhelds.

I don't remember playing many (if any) RPGs, including Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest games, that have new party members join later in the game at level 1. From the ones I've played, they usually start around whatever level you are. Sometimes even higher.

Well, the only old-school consoles I had were Atari's, NES ((with the large cartridges)), the MSX, and the GameBoy Color.

My recent ones are: PS1, PS2, Wii, GBA SP and DS Lite.

The Dragon Ball games that I have are: Budokai 2 ((first game I had)), Budokai 3, Sagas, Legacy of Goku, Legacy of Goku 2, Buu's Fury, Super DBZ, DB Advance Adventure, Super Sonic Warriors 2, Sparking 1, Sparking 2, Taiketsu, Transformation and DB DS. Along with Battle Stadium D.O.N and Jump Ultimate Stars

So, I couldn't get any of those, not to mention that I first heard of Dragon Ball in early 2001-2003

I don't play RPGs that often, but now I play Izuna 2: The Unimployed Ninja Returns, and Rondo of Swords and I'm suffering from not being able to progress further due to low levels of the new members.
