The music of Kai Buu Saga. Never liked it in Frieza and Cell arc either but the show was still enjoyable and there were some really memorable scores such as Vegeta's first death. But in Buu Arc it was just abysmal, especially some misplaced background. I completely dropped it after 4 or 5 episodes. Can't take that.

Who gets told it's his fault for being so careless? Goku.
Who has to live with that similar to how he wanted to make Freeza live with the fact he'd been beaten by what he considered trash, and have to live with that shame? Goku.
Freeza got the perfect revenge.

Dragon Ball Kai.
I expected a remake like FMA Brotherhood or HunterxHunter 2011, not a remaster.

The series deserves much more, but since they are doing movies I dont care anymore.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I have a few....

1. Battle of Gods. I loved the nostalgia but boy is it a train wreck..could have been something new and fresh rather then a campy piece of crap.
2. Super Saiyan God. This is related to BOG, SSG is a really poor concept and design and the way it was achieved was disappointing
3. Dragonball Kai. When i first heard about it being announced i thought it was a full remake not remastered and re cut....the remaster is also done very poorly too.
4. DBKai music. I actually really enjoyed the music but once i heard it was plagiarized and taken out of the blu ray sets i was very disappointed and lost respect for that composer.
5. Dragonbox. No bruce faulconer audio with DBoxZ as it has the best picture imo out of all dvd sets. (that one i can understand, its just the set would be perfect for me if it was included) Also most likely no american DB or GT or Movie box
6. SS4 not canon. I actually really like the concept how SSJ4 was achieved and how that could have been the true legend of a Super Saiyan. Much better then SSG.
7. Episode of Bardock and Hey Son Goku and friends return. First Episode of Bardock....just horrible (i hope its not canon) Second Goku and friends return kinda reminded me of BoG with its campy plot. Also Vegeta having a brother that is alive i will not accept!

I can see that I'm a bit to harsh, specially on Battle of Gods but i was really hoping for a fresh new take on DB with some good writing. I know i know, DB/DBZ doesnt have the best writing but i was hoping BoG could have done something about that.

DBZ in widescreen is a huge disappointment. Fortunately I own all of the DBoxes, but if something happens to even one of those discs - KUSO!

I can't really say biggest, but the most recent disappointment I've come across is the Boo arc of Dragon Ball Kai in general.
The green tint is really awkward. The music is awkward. The transitions are awkward. Even Babidi's new voice is awkward with his absurdly high pitch which heavily contrasts with his original deeper pitch. Its almost as though Toei wanted Babidi to sound like his Funimation dub counterpart. The fact that its not doing as well as the original
Dragon Ball Kai airings when it comes to views also really disappoints me. While I can't say that I enjoy the new Dragon Ball Kai, it really does hurt me to know that
Dragon Ball is in such a poor state to begin with.

I wouldn't go that far. I mean sure several, if not most, haven't been very good. However, we have had some good ones like scattered here and there Budokai 3, Attack of the Saiyans, and Legacy of Goku 2.

I am actually dissapointed, how much people disliked Battle Of Gods. I enjoyed the movie for all the fanservice, heck I even enjoyed Pilaf a lot, tying it back to Dragon Ball with all today being DBZ/hardcore.

My biggest dissapoitment in-franchise were games after Raging Blast 2, DBox being limited and the trainwreck the regular releases are (even the comic books), also probably only major anime series that doesn't have proper complete soundtrack releases.

I'm not one to get really disappointed mostly, but I do have a few minor quibs. They don't affect my enjoyment of the series, though.

-Colonel Silver getting court-martialed and never heard from again. Would've liked to see more of him.
-Commander Black getting killed off within an episode of "promoting" himself. I would've wanted to see him around longer.
-Raditz, the lead character's brother, getting killed off quickly and mostly forgotten. He doesn't even appear in Hell filler.
-Ginyu Force members Burter and Jeice not getting time to show their strength against weaker opponents. Actually, I would've liked to see these guys reformed.
-All the Androids being made irrelevant just a little bit too quickly.
-The Orange Star High School and 25th World Martial Arts Tournament not getting enough time.
-Yamcha not getting married.

Can't comment on anything beyond the World Tournament Saga, yet, as I haven't gotten that far.

A few:

- The Red Ribbon Army itself not having any impressive members besides Blue and Tao.
- Raditz dying and never showing up again or being hardly mentioned at all.
- The humans and Piccolo are probably never going to be relevant again.

I have a few more...
I know I'm going to get a lot of $hit for this but...

-The japanese original score for DBZ. I do like it and for few moments its really great (love cha la head cha la!) but its very repetative using the same tracks over and over. I was one of those kids that really wanted to watch the original original japanese dub/ music for Z. I even used to try and hunt down a few songs and listen to them. However I was pretty dissapointed when I finally had the availability to do so. Again this is my opinion and view which I can respect if others disagree with...which brings me to my other point.

-The fandom...I hate that people cant like a certain version of DB/DBZ/GT/Kai with out being looked down upon.

My biggest disapointment used to be, when I watched the Buu saga first time, that Goku and Vegeta never tried to use fusion dance against Kid Buu. I thought to myself that how much different would be that Vegetto( I did not know that the fusion dance counterpart was named Gogeta)? But ultimately I had to accept that if I wanted Goku to remain the hero, then I should accept the idea of Genki dama to be the best one.

Regarding the hate against Battle of Gods, Episode of Bardock, and Yo! Son Goku And His Friends Return: I do not see it why do peple had waited for a more action/centric movie, knowing that BOG was set in the "Lost Decade". Yeah, DBZ was a shounen with morr blood and despair, but people, that was a the refresh and new for the entire frachise. I was bit disappointed of the SSJ-God's appearance, but if we would have gotten a SSJ4-like Macho man, would would have been the surprise? And after Toriyama's interview about Goku being too flashy and too bulked up with each transformation I could agree on that. The aura was pretty good God-like I'd say. I liked the comis scenes too, even tough they were too much, but still the movie was enjoyable, and the Director's Cut version was even more. For Episode of Bardock: I didn't like it eiter, but I could be a fair what'if for Bardock. For the anime tour special: That was pretty good a nostalgia, and you what, that was enough well drawing what Toriyama really is: a gag-comic drawer.
English is not my first language!
I'm still waiting for Dragon Ball in Super...

Storywise, there's nothing that actually disappointed me. The entire manga, all 42 volumes, are wonderful to me and there are portions of it (such as Goku vs Piccolo) that are still pretty awesome in the anime. Plus, the anime music is amazing. What disappointed me most were production choices.

The two big ones would happen to be Season 3 of the dub and the Orange Bricks. With Season 3, I was super hyped that t was happening only to discover that the cast I grew to know and love were replaced by newbies who were directed to imitate the old cast. It sounded horrible to me and the only thing that kept me watching anymore (until discovering the manga a short time later) was that I wanted to see all the blood and stuff that I had never seen in DBZ before that point. It was probably sometime during or shortly after Season 3 that I had mostly given up on the anime and didn't watch it nearly as much. There was no fansub or bootleg community in Farmtown, USA and the DVDs were too expensive for three episodes so I didn't see the anime for a long time.

With the Orange Bricks, I was finally going to be able to afford to have DBZ on DVD and it was going to be all 291 episodes uncut with the Japanese version or a revised dub with Japanse music for the very first time. Also, I bought that junk about how widescreen was cool. Then, the podcast tore that whole advertising campaign apart (cropping, grain lies, overscan lies, etc.), the picture was still super dirty, and the dub wasn't really all that revised. I was so mad about it that it's all I talked about for weeks. Sure, I still had the manga, but I was super excited to see this happen and it turned out to be garbage.

All of these things are crazy fanboy First World Problems, though, so I've long since been over these disappointments. At the time, though, they sure were a big deal. Haha!

EDIT: Oh, and I guess what they're doing with Kai now is sort of disappointing to me as I had such high hopes, but I'm not really losing sleep over it. I was disappointed, but I've all but forgotten about Buu Kai as of late.

My biggest DB disappointment is a petty one; With ALL the SSJ3s being released left and right, including GT Trunks, it disappoints me that neither Gohan (Z or GT), nor GT Goten have been given the form.

Less disappointing but still frustrating is how Super DBZ didn't catch on and we didn't get anymore, not even a single sequel.

Mild disappointments include no English dub for Episode of Bardock, Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans, and Goku and his Friends Return.

Lastly, while I do enjoy Kai, and I do, I really do, Ultimate Tenkaichi with its remade scenes made me wish Kai was done like them. Meaning a real remake with modern animation techniques.

^Oh, if we're counting stuff that's not in universe, then I agree that it would've been nice to see the remaining Specials and OVA dubbed.
