Though I do have a problem on how he used Future Trunks. He did nothing in the manga and sit back to let Vegeta and Goku to do everything for him. I at least appreciate that Toei tried to make Trunks do something and not be a bystander.FortuneSSJ wrote:Regardless if the manga ends in this arc or not, I hope they don't force Toyotaro to rush everything.
I couldn't care less about his BOG/Champa arcs, but one of the reasons why I often check the FT Trunks arc is because he took his time in making something that's worth to go back and read again.
As for Volume 5, it's scheduled to be released on 02 March so the Volume cover should be revealed soon.

What I meant is that his FT Trunks arc has enough content that can make me go back and read it again, while his BOG/Champa arc are rushed and failed to be memorable.
I wasn't talking which one is better.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

But he DID do stuff in the manga. You're just angry he didn't get a power boost. He still accomplished the exact same things he accomplished in the anime, including saving Goku and Vegeta's lives multiple times.FortuneSSJ wrote:majinwarman wrote: Though I do have a problem on how he used Future Trunks. And if the last chapter is any indication, I have a feeling the ToP might be rushed, especially if V-Jump wants DBS done

Would they really want it done though? I got the impression that the manga gaining more pages after the initial chapters meant there was reader interest.

Toei did that, but all incoherently. There was no logical way Trunks would actually be able to hit Black as he did in the anime.majinwarman wrote:Though I do have a problem on how he used Future Trunks. I'm not mad about him not getting a power-up but I wanted him to fight for his future and not let Goku and Vegeta do it for him. I know he saved them two times but it still felt like he wasn't relevant in his arc.OLKv3 wrote:But he DID do stuff in the manga. You're just angry he didn't get a power boost. Eh. In comparison to the chapter before it, last chapter felt kinda rushedTotamo wrote:I don't Toyo is rushing it, I think Toei just dragged it.OLKv3 wrote:But he DID do stuff in the manga. Just mention that Trunks broke his limits(which foreshadows Vegeta kawai blue transformation) due to training with Vegeta and having that hybrid potential.Namz wrote:

Btw any news when we will get the chapter spoilers?
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
In the first chapter, Kuririn, 18 and 17 got full on panel recruitment scenes, while everyone else aside from Freeza got it done off-screen, and even Freeza got his battle with Goku skipped.Totamo wrote:You have to explain what you mean?
I don't think it was rushed though, Toyotaro just had some odd priorities, like multiple pages for Freeza's nightmare.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The start of the fight will be really important to set the tone.
I hope we get quite a few eliminations already in the form of cocky characters biting more than they can chew and someone powering up sweeping them out of the arena.

Toyotaro put that in because the Official Super Manga doesnt have the Resurrection F arc. Toyo had to put the recap story somewhereNeon Z wrote:In the first chapter, Kuririn, 18 and 17 got full on panel recruitment scenes, while everyone else aside from Freeza got it done off-screen, and even Freeza got his battle with Goku skipped.Totamo wrote:You have to explain what you mean?

Toyotaro still didn't show anything about Gohan. I think he just found him to unimportant to the story and didn't want to show how he gained back his strength.Professor Freeza wrote:Toyotaro put that in because the Official Super Manga doesnt have the Resurrection F arc. Toyotaro didn't include Gohans training, or so the majority of Freeza's recruitment, because those were things that didn't need to be shown at length. Basically, Toyotaro in the most recent chapter cut out all parts of the recruitment that would cause the story to meander around.majinwarman wrote:Toyotaro still didn't show anything about Gohan. I wonder if he is going to off-screen lots of eliminations in this tournament or not. I prefer he shows the fights he thinks are important to show.JazzMazz wrote:Toyotaro didn't include Gohans training, or so the majority of Freeza's recruitment, because those were things that didn't need to be shown at length. Likewise, we don't need to see literally every single warrior get eliminated, and also, not every single warrior needs to fight Universe 7.majinwarman wrote:I wonder if he is going to off-screen lots of eliminations in this tournament or not. I agree with that statement but I did like some of those useless fights. But, I don't really want to see them again at all. Maybe when I rewatch Super in the future.JazzMazz wrote:Likewise, we don't need to see literally every single warrior get eliminated, and also, not every single warrior needs to fight Universe 7.majinwarman wrote:I wonder if he is going to off-screen lots of eliminations in this tournament or not. Secondly, Uub is not black. He is indian. That's why he dosen't share the same facial features as many of Toriyama's black characters. And don't try looking for characters of his that are black that don't have the same features because there are none like that. All of them look like this.

However, I can say the bottom two are not TOO bad, but they are still obviously based off of blackface.
But about Popo. I get why they had to do it. The Internet is a very sensitive place and that would have been their heads, but as black man myself, I find it hard to be offended by things that never really affected me. But thats just me and I don't speak for my entire race.
You guys do realize Staff Officer Black was a prominent antagonist

They also completely redesigned him in path to power.
