Tien was around the same level as weighted Goku, who went above the power he displayed against Daimao.
No way he loses to Daimao. The Battle Powers got this part wrong.

Krillin and Yamcha are around the same power and both a few steps behind Young Piccolo Daimao in my opinion. Either one of them fighting him would look like Goku fighting suppressed Perfect Cell.SSJ3 Vegeta wrote:I agree that Tenshinhan would demolish Daimao, but how about...

Even if he is weaker he can still win by skill and speed. Having said that, I'd still give it to Piccolo.

Piccolo Daimao is also above Kami if we're taking those Battle Powers seriously.

Besides one can argue that power level was when Vegeta arrived to Earth.

Everything makes more sense in both the manga and the guidebooks if you assume that Tenshinhan's resting power is below his full power. Say 250 compared to 305. That'd explain how he was able to fight evenly with weighted Goku (334), and it would also put him above Daimao.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Zombie, the Daizenshuu reused most of the numbers in Jump, though. It shouldn't just be disregarded for convenience.
Kami spent 6 months training Tien to surpass him, only to grow weaker for the next months? Doesn't make much sense.

Yamcha is a little weaker than daimao. He starts losing, but then uses Sodikan, starting to destroy daimao. Piccolo is forced to use the explosion wave , which proves too much for yamcha, whose sodikan loses control and collides with himself. Piccolo moves his hand through the chest of injured , hurt Yamcha.
Yamcha [23rd TB] vs. Piccolo Daimao [Young]
Kuririn [23rd TB] vs. Piccolo Daimao [Young]
Krillin is dead even with the demon king. However, he has a huge disadvantage in form of lack of flight. He can make up for it by using KHH's but it will only tire him out. After a really long and tiresome battle, piccolo starts getting advantage, but then krillin uses the ace in hole - and attacks him with the chasing attack, while also talking him in a challenging way to force him take this. The chasing attack connects with the cocky demon, rendering his left arm useless. He regenerates (assuming he can), but that covers up for all the stamina loss of krillin, who puts all his strength in one punch and jumps straight through piccolo's body, while propelling himself using a KHH from other hand.
Krillin wins.

Yamcha < 22nd TB Tien is still hilarious.
and no one can suppress before training with kami.
Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
What's worse is (if I recall correctly) the same source has Popo nearly 5x stronger than Kami. That makes Kami using himself as a measuring stick for the human's strength after their training with him and Popo nonsensical if he could compare them to Popo and emphasize their strength even more.Super Saiyan Turlast x4 wrote:Zombie, the Daizenshuu reused most of the numbers in Jump, though. Yeah. Roshi admitted inferiority to Chaozu, who was one-shotted by Cyborg Tao. Yamcha is even stronger than Tao considering he could follow serious Tenshinhan's movements while Tao couldn't even follow a nonchalant Tenshinhan's movements. So Yamcha's at least significantly stronger than 22nd TB Roshi who's implied to not be far below 22nd Tenshinhan if I recall correctly.apex_pretador wrote:BoZ yamcha being below 22nd Tb is the worst.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Popo is shown sparring with Krillin six months into the training. The dialogue tells us that they were experiencing the strict training of Kami everyday. You really think he watched the entire time and did nothing else? What did he even teach them, then?Zombie wrote:Popo is the one that actually trains the fighters. God just oversees the training.
Come on, Zombie. Piccolo said he was going to show Krillin a glimpse of his true power, then admits taking over the world won't be so easy with guys like him around. Tien is way above Krillin. Why is Tien being above Daimao really a big deal?
You're correct. I agree. It really doesn't make sense. All of them surpassing Kami is what's a big deal.Analytic wrote:

Honestly, calculating Dragon Ball Battle Powers is impossible. Old Daimao dominated (180) Goku with less than half of his power. Young Daimao outstrips Old Daimao right when his youth is restored, only to power-up significantly a bit later. Yeah.
