Nah. Doesn't follow the structure well enough in the tone of the guitar, and it certainly doesn't do anything even remotely resembling Peart's drumming .

Yeah I had a feeling it was kind of a stretch. I posted it one here because I heard it on the radio and it reminded me of the Cell games and ROSAT of both Budokai 1 and 3 respectively.

Interesting, but you know, they're both Yamamoto's compositions, so legally there's no problem.


His compositions do lack creativity, though. Although Kikuchi used to compose hundreds or about a thousand of pieces of background music and songs every year, he rarely reused his own work unlike Yamamoto, who constantly does in spite of his overwhelmingly less workload. Many Yamamoto fans tend to think that he is great and far less manneristic than Kikuchi because he can handle a lot of different kinds of music genres and styles. I, however, think that many of his compositions done with such different styles don't differ from each other that much. They sure are arranged differently with different kinds of instruments, but they tend to share the melodies, riffs and other portions. Then if you find something sounds very creative among his compositions, that'll later turn out to be a rip-off. He was not talented as a music composer after all. He's nothing but an arranger.
