Here is to hoping.
I'd prefer an English version so I can understand stuff, but It wouldn't be the first time I was forced to import.

(I've never imported one before)
The story isnt important since we all know it like the back of our hand

You can customize what they're wearing?![]()
I am so there. :3
*Please let the Bad Man shirt be an option! I want to play as neon-pink-shirted Vegeta with the bright yellow pants and green shoes. XD *

I do play a lot of Japanese games, so a few trial and error clicks here and there and the menus should be no problem. It isn't the actual story that I want the game in English for though, as you said, I've seen it a million times before (though they are missing some major characters so I wouldn't mind seeing how they twist things), its the what-ifs I'm really interested in. This game seems to have some fairly good ones...possibly with actual cutscenes using the game models since we saw Nappa holding Vegeta up in a choke hold.MasterVampire wrote:Surely it wouldnt be too hard for us to figure out the menus and stuff?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Here is to hoping.

WOW. Now I really want to play this game. :3
Recent DS DB games seem to be really inventive.

I'm amazed they found a character who hadn't been playable before that I'd want to play as for reasons other than their inclusion being ridiculous. TAKE THAT SPIKE!
Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
Playable Kaio? HOT DAMN. We simply must get this game in the US now. That's too awesome.

This game is pretty amazing. I haven't gotten that far into it, but I am enjoying it. I never played the games before Final Bout, so this style is a new experience for me. I did find the normal difficulty setting a bit to hard at first since I'm still not sure exactly how to do all the dodging the computer seems to be able to do...but I'll work on it. lol

I'm playing it on my DS XL and the frame rate seems to go a bit slow on some levels with lots of stuff going on

Since I don't know Japanese, I have no idea what the hell is going on...and this is still hilarious.
There is a what-if revolving around 18 and Kuririn (with hair! lol) where 18 ends up in Lunch's clothes, and after you beat Kuririn he is bald...

A hand-held game shows Spike what we really want. *gives the finger*

Wow the ultimate attacks are awesome!
Like kid buu for example, if his attack wins he blows up the earth and then shows him pounding his chest in space
And freeza nukes the planet aswell for his and vegeta's final flash ultimate does that bit with cell how it zooms out into space
I missed those not being in raging blast 1 or 2

Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
I've been waiting to get some word on whether this game is actually good or not before buying it. The response here seems encouraging. So far the game has a score of 2.5 on Amazon Japan: one 4-star review and one 1-star review. But the 1-star one looks like spam, so...
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?

Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion
Yeah, I just saw those Amazon reviews this morning, myself. I'd wait before giving them any credit -- not that it's anywhere near this, but fans flooded Dragon Quest IX with one-star reviews in Japan (though I think that was also prior to release), and we all know how that one ended up.
I don't think I've seen a Famitsu review yet... not that I give that much weight in my mind, either...

Man am I tempted to do the same. I'm really psyched for this game. Can anyone with the game already tell us what the combat is like? Does it play like a Budokai game?
