I think about stuff like that every so often but with the internet savvy generation of today I doubt most kids are taken aback.

Hell even I remember downloading Japanese clips of Goku going Super Saiyan, Trunks killing Freeza, etc. way before they ever aired back when I was a kid.

Just watched the reairing of Movie 12. Apparently this time they zoomed in a tiny bit when Veku gives Janemba the middle finger, so instead it looks like Veku is giving a thumbs up instead of the bird. Here's a screenshot I took:

DBZ bootlegs have the movie 9 cover with the pioneer movie 2 description on the back and the disc actually has a Japanese soap opera in MEPG2.

Yeah, I actually thought they did censor it the first time around and he was now holding up a finger in an "Ah, I have an idea!" sort of pose.

Watching Broly with the "real bands" on the website. A couple of those music choices actually work.

For a moment I thought the Metroid Prime 3 title theme was going to play right after Paragas finished spilling the beans and Broly started freaking out. Would have been epic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1y8bq_2X2g

Yup! When I say "quality" I'm not talking about the film transfer or the colors or anything like that.
This just looks very digitized, as if an MPEG of the movie from 1999 is being played on TV. Also, everything is choppy, nothing flows and sometimes even freezes. This looks like it's being run off a PC. I checked Nicktoons website and the quality on there is poor but no where near as bad as it is on TV.

Edit: To be fair, the freezing can be blamed on anything, could just be a problem during the broadcast. Still looks like an MPEG though and is a bit choppy.

I feel sorry for the Kai fans, as those who got their start on Dragon ball through Kai. I bet they are wondering who in the world are Goten, Trunks, and Videl. When Wrath comes on tomorrow, SSJ3 Goku and Gotenks is gonna be a whopper.

I'm sure most of the kids probably picked up a DBZ game by now thanks to DBZK and have seen all these characters before. But I know not everyone is into video games. So for those kids who haven't played a DBZ, well... sucks for them.

Yep, with how main stream the interest is, I'd be surprised if they aren't spoiled by now.

So apparently it's okay to show Freeza's uncut death during the credits O_o

Eh, I'm not complaining though it sounded like they used Kai clips for Freeza and Trunks O_o or I'm just crazy. Either or.

Yeah, I was wondering why Broly: Second Coming looked so bad but Wrath of the Dragon was on last night and it looked just fine. I wonder why the huge difference in quality?

Some of that may be because of the masters that FUNi got from Toei.

It wasn't the transfer that looked crappy. It didn't look old or anything like that. It just looked very digitized and choppy.

This "digitized and choppy" version is the version i don't remember airing on CN years ago. Even the re-airings of movie 10 are the same mess as they were the first time it aired on nicktoons.

What is it that is making movie 10 look like this but not the other movies?

The Broly movies never aired on US CN IIRC

It's probably just the master they recieved. Who knows.

As we already said, it didn't look like that originally. I have the DVD and I don't recall it looking all digitized and shit. Most have been some broadcasting issue.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!
