People keep shouting "an original story Toriyama intended to use in the manga" but that is said nowhere on Kanzenshuu, so I guess the new info is that the old info is not true.

By the time we finally got ANN to correct that error, it was a little too late for the internet to catch up. I can't exactly say it's been fun doing damage control, but you know how people just take things and run with 'em these days.

Believe me I know. Been playin mop up on youtube with as many "Battle of Gods 2 Spring 2015 Confirmed!!!" videos as I can find. Was even told to kill myself when I posted a comment rectifying the ANN error. Fun times, fun times.

No offence, mate - but why bother? Don't waste your time! If the recent 'Beers' thing or the 'Naked Sweaty Fanboy' rumour are anything to go by, it seems that a lot of people in this fandom simply don't like being corrected, no matter how blatantly wrong their beliefs are. The correct information is out there, whether or not they choose to indulge it is entirely their prerogative - no harm will be caused to anyone other than themselves by them choosing to ignore the facts.

Essentially it's no one's responsibility to set people right who simply don't want to hear it. I know your intentions are really good, but a lot of those guys are just morons or internet trolls, who are likely to jump at any chance to go against the grain and dish out abuse.

Although I'd like the story to take place after the series, Oob happens to be a direct contradiction to Goku having absorbed the godly powers, so I find it unlikely to happen. But it's fine either way as long as SSG Vegetto makes an appearance!

What if Goku lost his SSJG powers during or by the end of the film? I'd say he would be pleased seeing as how he disliked the power because he was unable to obtain it on his own.

I wonder when we'll start seeing info about this movie. A trailer, character designs, a basic teaser line, etc.

DON'T YOU MIX MY FAVORITE FRANCHISES TOGETHER. My brain won't know how to process that.

Regardless of what artist they decide to bring in, I think we'll be getting a new song. "Battle Of Gods" was going for nostalgia, so naturally we got "HEAD-CHA-LA." Now that we seem to have an established movie franchise going, they're probably going to want to create more new stuff. I'm fine either way; I just want the old artists back. I've had an itch for a new Kageyama-KUKO duet that nothing since 1996 has been able to scratch. Or heck, have the characters perform a theme song. It's been too long.

[As with the last movie], I thought up the new story for the next Dragon Ball theatrical movie as though it were a continuation of the manga when it was in serialization. Just the fact that I don’t have to draw anything means I can obsess completely over the smallest bits of dialogue. Well, the truth is that I wasn’t planning on going that far, since it’s pretty exhausting at my age, but I got a little carried away.

This time will of course be a continuation of the previous Battle of Gods, but I’ve deliberately increased the amount of action scenes by a good deal. With regards to the contents, they told me, “Keep it a secret!” like they’re all high-and-mighty, so I can’t touch on it yet, but it should be super-duper interesting!

The fact that I’d say that, when I’m not big on the flashy action-stuff, means there’s no doubt about it! Even my very first editor Torishima, who rarely ever praises me, said, “This is good!”

Absolutely no doubt about it! …Although it won’t be any good if I say that too loudly and people end up disappointed by it, but at the very least, I’m confident that the contents are something that the fans will be able to thoroughly enjoy! Right now, I’m drawing the design illustrations for the new character and such. The movie’s completion is still a ways out in the future, but please look forward to it!!
