When Trunks starts Disappearing because Towa and Mira messed with him killing 17 and 18

There's one line where, after supreme Kai of Time tells trunks to stay, you here Vale say "Guys" as if he's talking to one of the people in the booth, and not in character for recording

It doesn't even sound like it's mixed in properly because I remember it being slightly louder than Trunks' in-character lines immediately before

Oh my god, I remember that. It sounds like you can hear him drinking water at the beginning of the line, too.

$20 says they did another take where he got it right and then got the files mixed up. I could be wrong, of course, but that strikes me as the most likely scenario.

I get the feeling it wasn't even a take, and they just realized they were short one line and grabbed any recording they could of him saying that word

Does anyone have a clip of Alexis Tipton doing a voice close to Kid Trunks. I read somewhere that she will be a very close sound-alike and if that's the case I don't mind a recast. I'm just curious how close it will be. I'm looking for Kung Fu Panda TV Show actor imitating Jack Black closeness.

I already knew Alexis Tipton would be great in the role of Kid Trunks and this clip only strengthens that assumption. I can't wait to see what she brings into the role and how she'll make it her own.

I really hope Hit's voice is changed from whoever did it in Xenoverse 2. Hopefully FUNI took note of the backlash and he'll sound different.

I've heard from a few fans that theyd prefer that it sound similar to the Japanese VA's more baritone performance. I've never seen Super, but I have a general argument with some fokks on this subject. The logical conclusion of "I want the original VA's voice" is "I want to watch the original show". & of course, I do. But I'm watching a dub, forced dialogue & all, because the nuances of the Japanese acting, go over my head. Being that it's intended to be literally the same thing, but in a different language, I kinda want an approximately similar sort of casting. Nappa is a big brute, he's easy to cast even just looking at the picture. Dabra is a menacing dude, similar. The kicker is that Hikaru Midorikawa's voice of Android 16 is rather soft, which you wouldnt expect of his size. I think the 2012 voice of Jonathan Joestar, also a big buff guy, is pretty similar in that regard. I may be misreading it but I think that's intentional.

Also, they cast Piccolo as much gruffer than he is snide, & Vegeta as more constipated-sounding, although (Ocean days) Recoome was done right. Kenji Utsumi's voice is a lot lower, but my point is that they got the feel of the performance right. In the case of Hit, I havent heard his Japanese voice or the show overall but the dub VA feels really light compared to something I'd expect from Kazuhiro Yamaji. Nightmare feels it's just bad stand-alone, but I'm just wondering if maybe it's an issue that some fans have with it?

As mentioned, the cast is only listed for the Battle of Gods Arc. You'll also notice there's no Freeza, Freeza soldiers, etc.

Eric did sort of tease it, he quoted FUNi's post and said he's excited and said he's not confirming anything else then FUNi replied with that sunglasses emoji. Not that there was anything to worry about of course he was gonna be back as FTrunks.

Yeah, I just really hope he does something about that rasp. It's been bugging me quite a bit in XV2 lately. Hit's voice could be a tad deeper as well.

Brina will most definitely be Arale as she's voiced her in every game since Tenkaichi 3.

I wish they'd taken the recast of present Trunks as an opportunity to make him sound older. Even if he doesn't look older it'd be nice if something about him aged a bit.

It might just be treated as an Insert Song and be left in Japanese

That's the real question here. Knowing Toei they would have Funimation dub the entirety of both Dr. Slump series and the movies before dubbing that song.

I dread this dub! Schemells's Goku is all wrong and Sabat's Vegeta and Piccolo are just terrible!

There being no dub so far, has resulted in a lot of people watching the original Japanese version and that's the way things are meant to be watched, in my opinion. In their original language and form.
