If I remember correctly it was Whis teasing Beerus, Vegeta was saying something about his race to Freeza then Whis teased Beerus that it was him that did it/ordered it or something like that. Its simply a gag like on how Beerus got nervous after Whis told Goku and Vegeta that if they pair up they have a chance against Beerus. Basically he's cautious of both Goku and Vegeta now, at least thats how I see it.sintzu wrote:Someone on Youtube who saw the movie said Beerus was hoping Freeza won't tell Vegeta that he's the one who ordered him to destroy planet Vegeta.

Either that or Whis was implying ''But lord Beerus werent you planning on destroying planet Vegeta too?''Beerus-sama wrote:so its pretty much confirmed Beerus did ordered Freeza to destroy planet Vegeta?SansrivaaL wrote:If I remember correctly it was Whis teasing Beerus, Vegeta was saying something about his race to Freeza then Whis teased Beerus that it was him that did it/ordered it or something like that. As far as I see on Beerus reaction its only a matter of time before Goku or Vegeta can solo him

I don't think anyone is going to be able to do anything to him.SansrivaaL wrote:Whis on the other hand is still a long way to go.

It's presumably a misremembering/mistranslation of this dialogue:sintzu wrote:Someone on Youtube who saw the movie said Beerus was hoping Freeza won't tell Vegeta that he's the one who ordered him to destroy planet Vegeta.
More then one person here saw it as well so is this true ?
Vegeta: "How could I possibly be loyal to you?! You're the one who destroyed my world, Planet Vegeta!"
Whis: *whispering* "Oh, but Lord Beerus also approved of Planet Vegeta's destruction."
Beerus: "Shssh! Shut up!"
That's from the script in Volume "F". I'm assuming the movie dialogue's the same, but I suppose there could be some differences. Still, elsewhere in Volume F, there's a note from Toriyama explaining Beerus and Freeza's relationship. Toriyama just says that they sort of get along because they both destroy stuff, but one time Freeza got carried away, made Beerus angry, and got his clock cleaned as a result. Then the little section recapping Freeza's history just says Freeza was so influential even Beerus heard of him, and doesn't mention anything about Beerus being a factor in Freeza destroying Planet Vegeta. It's just the same old "he was afraid of the Saiyans teaming up to rebel against him (and secretly probably afraid of the Super Saiyan). The history section doesn't seem to have any input from Toriyama, but still, if dialogue in the film flat-out said Beerus ordered Planet Vegeta's destruction, it'd be weird for them to overlook it.

Just watched another leaked scene with more Blue Goku vs Golden Freeza and Blue Vegeta vs Golden Freeza.
Damn, this movie may enter my top 3.
Vegeta part was satisfying and his slowly walking reminded me of Gohan against Cell.
The blue form couldn't look better in him either.

Probably, his time rewind sh*t is hax. I'm just going with what Akira Toriyama said that for the saiyans it might even be possible for them to eventually turn the tables.sintzu wrote:I don't think anyone is going to be able to do anything to him.SansrivaaL wrote:Whis on the other hand is still a long way to go.

The walking scene reminds a lot other instances where characters walked straight forward to their opponents.
Bardock vs Chilled, Kakarot vs Freeza, Son Gohan vs Cell...

Seems to me like a parallel to the Namek arc. Either when Goku deflects all of Freeza's death beams before he kills Vegeta, or when Goku dodged all of Freeza's beams as a Super Saiyan.Dyno wrote:The walking scene reminds a lot other instances where characters walked straight forward to their opponents.

Kinda like how the punch SSGSS Vegeta threw that made Freeza spit out some saliva and blood is similar to the one SSJ Goku threw at Freeza.

I can just hope to see it in japanese first though... (the wait for the japanese dvd release feels so long...)

That sensation of "parallel" certainly will occur but only when you are in fact watching the movie. Here I'm saying out of context, that's why it reminded me other instances.Doctor. wrote:Seems to me like a parallel to the Namek arc. Just like Bills vs Kakarot above Earth, for example... It was only after watching the movie I felt a sensation of Bardock vs Freeza. It was beyond awesome, I must say.

That would have been the logical thing to do which is something Goku,Gohan and Vegeta don't have.bubibartra wrote:
It would have to have been "hello Freezer " and a " big bang " powerful and goodbye Freezer.
Yeah it was very short but it gave Vegeta the shining moment we've all been wanting to see which more then makes up for it's short length.SuperSaiyanQ wrote:I liked it but it seemed way too short when I watched it ? Hmm

Hmm. So Beerus and Freeza have apparently met (and fought) before in Toriyama's mind... interesting. It kind of partially weakens the way the line about Cold telling him to stay clear of Buu and Beerus is phrased, but oh well.

In the film (script) itself too, Freeza recognizes Beerus on sight and they have a short conversation that makes it pretty clear they've met before. Even as powered up as he is, Freeza is still terrified of Beerus and is worried Beerus will try to interfere with his revenge, but Beerus says that as God of Destruction he's neutral. This is the same page that has Toriyama's comment on their relationship at the bottom.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Hmm. Beerus met King Vegeta before. It's not too surprising that he may have met Freeza too.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Hmm. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
It's the way it seems to be phrased in the present that's a bit bothersome. He talks about how his father told him to stay away from Beerus and Buu, but if he's previously gotten his ass kicked by Beerus, one would think he would phrase it a bit more clearly. Make it seem as though Freeza has personal experience to stay away from the Hakaishin rather than just going of his father's word.Beerus-sama wrote:Maybe he told him that before he met Beerus...
It's just something that a very minor tweak could have helped the flow/consistency a bit, but there's also the chance that Freeza doesn't want to admit how many times he's gotten his ass kicked before to his men. So whatever. Not that big of a deal.
I never said it would be. I just find it interesting because the way Beerus talked about him in Battle of Gods didn't really make it sound like they had personally met before,Marco Polo wrote:Beerus met King Vegeta before. It's not too surprising that he may have met Freeza too.
