I'm at the part where Goku's searching for the Bansho Fan. I wouldn't be this far but I'm stuck at work with nothing to do. Looks like I owe myself about three hours of training in return for three hours of gameplay.

Man I was so amped to get this tonight and fucking no! They only got preorders, right after my asking if they would have more last week. :(
I hope I can pick this up soon.

About how long is this game in total?

The 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai was a disappointment... sure the pictures were nice, but there was only 1 fight?

The overworld sprites aren't that great either.

Despite this, I'm really enjoying the game so far.

I bought the game and now I can't find the DS! The last game I played was New Super Mario Bros. That was a few years ago.

Whaaaaaaat?! I figured you must have at least three or four DSes sitting around so it wouldn't be a problem :P.

You also lose at life for not playing Retro Game Challenge in the meantime while waiting for this game.

Probably going to pick the game up tonight... and somehow find the time to play both it and Raging Blast for enjoyment and review... :x

Nope I only have one that I use. If a new DS comes out I usually sell\give away my old one. I do have a Mario DS with the "M" logo still in the box, but I don't wanna open it. :D

I know this might seem obvious, but if you want Piccolo to be a hard battle, do not level Goku up to level 16 and level up his meteor combo. I Literally took 2 damage in the fight...

That explains a lot then. For some reason I thought you had to be in the 20's for that fight....
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

Picked it up today and finished "Bowser's Inside Story". I'm really tired right now though so I'll probably start Kai DS tomorrow.
On hiatus.

I can't wait to buy this. I looked around the stores today and couldn't find a copy. Blah.

I'm finally going to GameStop again today, so I'll finally be able to pick it up. Even Nintendo Power gave it a pretty good review (8.0/10) and they used to make fun of people who like Dragon Ball games. I've got pretty high hopes for it.

It is a damn good game. I'm about 18 hours in and I just got past the part where you collect the Dragon Balls to wish Goku back when the Saiyans arrive. There are a lot of great games I've played that I've been completely finished in that amount of time.

It looks like I'll pick up this game after Assassin's Creed 2 and a little before FFCC: Crystal Bearers. I just finished with playing the DS after KH:258/2 Days and Bowser's Inside Story a while back before playing Raging Blast. The sprites look amazing and all I've been hearing is good buzz compared to the last two Dragon Ball games. No reviews though.

EDIT: Found a brief 1UP review.

Hmmm...I'd say this game is way better than Legacy of Goku II myself.

Wow, I'm honestly amazed at just how good this game is. I've been getting pretty bored of the fighting games, so it's really nice to see something new. I just got it yesterday, and I've already been playing it for more than 10 hours. Thank God it's the weekend!

Seriously? I thought Legacy of Goku II was much better. I mean it has lots of fun stuff there. It doesn't drag on the battles too long. You could even move the character during the battle.

Legacy of Goku II was fun, but it barely had anything to it compared to this game. This game has a lot more moves for each character, more depth to the RPG system, and many more side-quests. It's still no Final Fantasy or anything, but it's still a lot more expansive than LoG II, and I say this as someone who likes LoG II quite a bit.

I just have to get this ridiculous plot hole off my chest...

Goku coming back to help gather the Dragonballs.

Seriously?

"They're having trouble gathering the Dragonballs!"
"Oh noes! All my training will be useless if I can't go back!"
"Don't worry! We can send you back... so you can wish to... go back... to where we sent you..."
"...You can do that? Can't you just send me back when the Saiyans arrive then?"
"Farewell, Goku!"

Yeah, that was kinda dumb, but it was still fun to play during that part.

Heaven forbid you play as anyone but Son Goku in a Japanese-made game! I mean seriously, would it have hurt so much to give us a level with Bulma or someone who used weapons?

That's the one thing about at least the second Legacy of Goku: it wasn't all him.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
