DBM's universes are pretty much all defined by "something different happened in the past so it turned out another way than the DBZ we know"... and they literally have Trunks's "bad future" timeline as one of the universes. You can't argue that they're somehow not the same as alternate timelines when one of the series' already-established alternate timelines is one of them!

I'd say Gohan is stronger than Roshi. Remember in the tournament, how the only thing that really separated "Jackie Chun" and Goku was Jackie's longer reach?

Well, when Gohan and Goku fought during Baba's tournament, Gohan gave way more than he got, even without including exploiting Goku's tail.

Yes, not to mention when "Jackie Chun" used that paralyzing technique ("bankakoukirushou"?) on Goku he said the last one he was forced to resort to that was precisely Gohan.

Also, a tiny unrelated nitpick, here they met Gyumao before Oolong and Yamcha and it should be the other way around, if I'm not mistaken.

That was after Roshi had to use a load of power to blast great ape goku. People forget that.

He's actually closer to equal at the next tournament with Tenshinhan.
