Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

I'm always glad when they try to bring freshness to the soundtrack by not using the old score and potentially trying new composers.
But for such an important "franchise-comeback" movie, isn't it risky to hire someone who has actually never worked on ANY Dragon Ball anime before?
(that we know of, since he could be part of the Kai Majin Boo production right now for all we know, which would give them a good reason to trust him if they've already heard and liked the result...)

Well, sometimes taking risks brings awesome results, I guess we'll see (or "hear" in that case)...
Can't wait to hear yet another kind of Dragon Ball soundtrack. Judging by his work, he could make potentially dark (desperate?) situations very tense.

I hope they use CG similar how they did with the recent Evangelion movies.

It will probably be what you can see in the trailer, meaning "Final Fantasy quality" landscapes when the camera has to perform a specific "landscape moving view" mixed with 2D characters.
But I guess only time will tell...

My rough translation of the plot:

The story takes place a few years after the battle against Majin Buu. Birusu, a god of destruction who maintains the entire universe's balance, now has been awaken from his long sleep! He comes for Goku after hearing the rumor about a Saiyan who defeated Freeza, and against Kaio's advice, Goku challenges him, but he can't do anything against Birusu's massive power. "There must be a tougher guy on the earth", says Birusu, and then he leaves the place. Can Goku and his friends stop the god?!

It also says that characters who'll bring back your memories will too appear in the film, which obviously implies Pilaf and his gang.
