Oh, haven't you heard? The Ginyu-Tokusentai spoke with their marketing department, and decided to change their name.

Well, we can only hope that in 2000 years time they shall be remembered, as a can of small dog food. For small yappy-type dogs.

And that they shall be played by James Mason in the film.

I knew this game was a disaster from the moment I saw how the ki attacks and explosions looked so weak and watered down! For them to look far better in BT3, and this being a "next-gen" Sparking, is ridiculous!!! Those are somewhat small reasons but this is DBZ. They don't look like that! I saw it as a sign. They jus' don't have that impact anymore, as they should.

Example: Early Spirit Bomb [Sparking!] vs Early Spirit Bomb [Raging Blast] or Buu arc Son Gohan Masenko [Sparking!] vs Buu arc Son Gohan Masenko. [Raging Blast]
I wonder which ones made me go.... "DAMN"?!

The actual in-game combat is so much more shallow now! [Sparking 1.] They removed so many combos, and replaced them with gimmicky crap like more rush attacks. Those are cute and all, but if I can't manually set you up for them in a bigger variety of ways, what's the point?!

As VegettoEX said, the character model lines should've been thicker even in further distance. Somethin' about them looks so bland and empty further away. They don't POP! The mundane lookin' stages don't help either. They should try and give the stages a manga-esqe look, like Super DBZ, but not too much! Even blend.

Also, bring ALL the characters back !

Not a successor to BT3 at all! HUGE PASS! I will be watchin' Youtube videos of it however, and there it will stop.

Try again, Spike!

Mike, letting you know, on the "Final Thoughts," there should be a comma after the word "models."

EDIT: A much more minor thing, since you put the text there, but the links for the Play-Asia Xbox 360 links are not embedded into the HTML for the images, unlike the Amazon, Gamestop, and all PS3 ones. Hovering over the last two copies of the cover art don't lead you to any link.

I find it utterly and disgustingly bizarre that the FUNi dub wasn't looked at, examined, and reviewed for in this game, considering the fact that a lot of people both here and elsewhere are actually saying that it's good...
Reading the review for this title just a few hours ago, I couldn't help but feel displeasure as the dub was cast aside like garbage in favor over the Japanese track and the Kai replacements.
If the Japanese track was looked at, the FUNi one should've been, too.

You lost me here when you went to extremes. It's typical Daizex style to skip on assessing the dub track in a text review, other than passing mention that it's there. I'm sure there are other people to talk about the English voice cast.
[quote="Brakus"]For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.[/quote]

Why want a review from the guys here on anything English, you already know what they would say

I agree. Mike, I wanna know what you truly think of the English dub.

I wish I could find it, but... I swear I saw a YTMND one time that had a picture of Mike and the "Cat Loves Food" audio followed by Mike shouting "I HAAATE THE DUUUUB!!!!"

I hope that covers it until Mike can say something on his own behalf.

This.

It'd only make you mad, my friend. It's best for you they didn't review the dub script.

Okay, I'm over exaggerating...

I have no interest in FUNimation's English dub cast, and Daizenshuu EX is more about the global side of fandom... which does not include FUNimation's English dub.

What else is there to say? The game's bad enough as it is... I'm not going to play it in a way that makes it worse for me.

Sounds to me like the FUNimation dub fans just want validation, which is not something I'm in the business of doing.

How's it bad or worse when the v.a's of the dub and over-dub read from the same script for the game?

The dub is actually pretty good. They finally pronounce ki as "key" as opposed to "kai," which is nice.

Chris Sabat honestly gives Vegeta a better performance in this game than Ryo Horikawa does for some reason. It feels really fucking weird saying that because I love Horikawa's Vegeta. He just sounds so bored in the scenes that I played.

Other than that not much is different. Broly actually speaks now, but that's true for both languages. Nifty.

I'll be sticking to the Japanese version for the most part because of Katsuyuki Konishi. Piercing the Heavens with my Drill, ect.

On another note, I don't understand why everyone wants you to review the dub. I don't understand the need for reassurance.

It's like demanding the mental/digital equivalent of a handjob.

Wow I just realized I haven't once switched over to the dub (which I usually do in video games for at least a brief moment.) The funny thing is now that there are subtitles for all of the special dialogue I feel absolutely no reason to do so.

I've never noticed that pronunciation before... :?

In this case that doesn't hold true, since the dub track is on most of the releases worldwide. So you can't really use that whole global excuse this time, just sayin'...

Finally got all of the DragonBalls.

Holy shit, I laughed looking up what one of the items does.

I was all in for Goku's Meteor Blast, but I saw an item called "Seal Breaker." It sounded pretty cool, but the only description it had was "Equip this and something may happen."

I looked it up, and it turns out that all it does is remove scouters and hats. Over 50 battles for the ability to remove scouters and hats.
