I think that you're misunderstanding me. He may have been a member of that clan, but was he born a demon? He may have raised himself in the image of a demon, just like Son Goku was raised in the image of a human. But he, of course, is not a natural demon.

As an embodiment of the pure evil corruption of the earth on a naturally-peaceful Namekian, yes I do think he was born a demon.

I'm sticking with the notion that the writers just decided to make the Namekians the same as Piccolo.

Yes, actually. Kami noticed that Piccolo had lost his demonic nature after the Saiyan Saga-ending Makankosappo. Which would mean he retained his demonic nature through all or most of the Ma Junior bit.

...where does it say that? I've now watched the trailer a few times, and I haven't...heard it. Not saying it's not there, just asking at what point in the trailer it is said.

We're talking about Piccolo's casting bio.

To be fair it was never meant to be seen publically so it includes at least one error (Gohan possessing the three-star ball).

Granted, then again... everything else anyone would have laughed off as being ridiculous turned out true. Goku being in highschool, Mai being a shape shifter, Gohan being... y'kno, alive...

The same paragraph also brought in the bullshit about the eclipse, and the plot of Piccolo informing Goku that he's a Saiyan which everyone has taken as fact. As accurate as it's been, I wouldn't discount it because someone wrote the wrong number of stars.

He's alive so Goku will have a reason to fight Piccolo. Because Piccolo kills his only living "family member."

Not to say that it's impossible by any means, but anything that old has had a lot of time to change. It just seems to me that it's not "officially" Piccolo's story, and its full credibility has been hurt a bit.

Is it mentioned anywhere that he's supposed to have met her somewhere else now? As far Chi-chi's concerned, it also mentioned the plot about Mai taking her place, something confirmed in the trailer. And leaked behind the scenes footage confirm her fighting in a martial arts tournament, like it said she would.

I'd go with what it says unless something comes along to disprove it. If there are things different, what it confirmed on early on far outweighs what it's gotten wrong.

Remember Piccolo was a namekian after the fact so who knows, but please no one compare this to the old Street Fighter movie, this movie's trailer is all ready better then that entire movie and the Chinese dragonball movie for that matter.

But remember, the Chinese Dragonball movie is a masterpiece just because of how bad it was.

But none of them hold a candle to the Korean Live Action Dragonball.

I actually don’t mind it. Yeah, all the Dragonball Nazis will be out in force telling you how this is nothing like the cartoon, but I don’t recall there being a Dragonball Evolution cartoon.

Its an adatpation, so things will be different. Different canon and different characters. Personally I think Bulma looks hot, especially channeling Lara Croft. There is some cheese wire work, but it isn’t terrible.

I might even pay attention to news about this now.
