Well, Kaio's intro basically says there's a god for creation and a god for destruction, and both are needed to maintain the world's balance. Goku asks to fight Bilus and/or Whis; Kaio calls him an idiot for picking a fight with a god. The rest is either generic or from the last trailer.

By the way, I noticed that there's an Egyptian goddess named Sekhmet, who has a lion face and was believed to cause diseases. You know, lions belong to the cat family, and disease can be associated with virus.

Birus? Would that be pronounced Bye-russ or Bee-roose? Would Bils still work because of how it would be pronounced in Japanese?

Also, (from the trailer) I really like the idea of a group consisting of Piccolo, Tenshinhan, 18, and Kame-sennin...if that's even a thing that lasts more than the 3 seconds we see it.

Maybe it's just the way the scene is framed or I have my YouTube screen enlarged, but that planet that looks eerily similar to Kaio's looks much bigger, so it could very well be a brand new planet with an explanation as to why it's there. Bills and Whiss are there; perhaps Whiss made Kaio a new planet, since we seem to be hinting at him being the God of Creation.

Also, good eye from Chuquita on the Pilaf Gang being so short! They do look like they've been de-aged.

EDIT: Watched the trailer again; there are floating and exploding hourglasses, which I'm sure was noticed a million pages ago by someone more astute than I. That plus eggs-to-sand plus a suspiciously short Pilaf Gang equals some sort of time tomfoolery.

I'm starting to think the Pilaf thing is just a gag. I think they show up to "steal" the dragon balls and EVERYONE, even Mr. Satan, threaten to stop them. Goten and Trunks fuse, Gohan goes SSJ, Roshi leads everyone to rush them and they freak out. I think this is likely early in the movie and it's just a joke, because it all seems to take place in the same area. It probably introduces the real story somehow.

Yeah, it is. Videl is Bideru in Katakana, and Virus could be Birusu. Phonetically it probably wouldn't work, but, spelling wise - it is 100% a valid romanization.

Thank you so much! The exploding hourglasses (time bombs) look amazing in the HD version of the trailer. I still can't make out what's on that floating island in the middle though.

So we're kind of closing in on the possibilty of a virus pun for Birusu. Assuming Whiss is the God of Creation, his name could be a shortening/anagram of "wish," since when a wish is made on the Dragon Balls, Shen Long creates something. Which would also mean I need to drop that second S.

For the names, if they are indeed based on alternate spellings of "virus", this is how I'd go about it:

Virus > ウイルス (Uirusu) > ウイス (Uisu) > Vis
Virus > ビールス (Biirusu) > ビルス (Birusu) > V'rus
