So what does everyone think about 3vs3? I have to admit I was pretty surprised to see it implemented, especially since I figured it would hurt the 1 player game, but 1v1 at least looks solid. But what about 2+ player battles, does it work? In my opinion so far it looks like a clunky mess. Nothing wrong with a bit of mindless fun, but I hope they're very skill-focused and not just a huge gimmick to cash in on the team fighting crowd. Good to see some special moves which will probably take care of multiple enemies, but I can still see a single player being dominated. Well this is my current opinion as of the beta. Hopefully once people are more familiar with the game we'll get to see something interesting.

I love it. 1v1 and 2v2 both look great. 3v3 probably isn't great, but it looks good.
The beauty of it? It doesn't have to be skill based.
Want skill to win out? 1v1, maybe 2v2 is for you.
Want a brawl of fun? 3v3!
Hope 2v1, 3v1, 3v2, 3 for all, 4 for all, 5 for all, and 6 for alls are in, but I doubt it.

I'm enjoying it so far. Kinda wish you could do any combination, up to 6 characters on the field (with an appropriate handicap applied, as something like 1v5 would be unfair otherwise). Would be kinda fun to reenact things like Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Vegeta and Piccolo vs. Broli, or Gohan, Kuririn, Vegeta, Piccolo and Goku vs. Freeza.

Thx, I was on this Xenoverse footage hype train and I couldn't help but notice some things and analyse them to death (probably my blood as fighting gamer, analytical mind and longtime DragonBall fan). Ultimate moves usually consumes 3 bars each and each of them have a noticeable startup. It seems you can't combo into them, but you can followup into Ultimates, which result them to attempt to block it. I notice, that after a knockback, you can't techroll sideways or upwards. I think it's a nice touch and is somewhat true to the show.
Stepping seems to be important, but I also won't neglect the Jump. I dare to say, that Jump might be a better option in more sitations than stepping because Jump has the Jump Attack option, but again, noone bothered to try out to step and therefore I don't really know its properties.
I think 3vs3 might have a chance to become its own metagame. Sure it's different from 1vs1, but we only had a chance to use Special and Ultimate moves, which are geared to 1vs1 in a team fight. The only Ultimates, which might be probably finetuned towards teamfights atm is Scatter Kamehame-Ha, the NAPPA FINGER and probably these weird shields special moves(escape move excluded). Hell, there might be even dedicated Xenoverse teamfights teams/clans (ok, it reminds me of shooters somehow xD). Although at this moment, players don't know how to play 3vs3. As bad as DBZ BoZ was as a DBZ game (meaning lack of proper mechanics making 1vs1 interesting), I think though, that BoZ MIGHT be a better teambased game due to its classes like healers ect. If they do have these what-if transformations. GT characters, etc. Then I hope they aren't officially revealed until the game comes out. I'd love for these things to be a surprise.

One thing that I'm dying to know that maybe someone who's played the beta can address: Can you customize the color of all clothing or just your starting outfit? I'd like to be able to wear Slug's top without it being blatantly obvious that it is, indeed, Slug's top.

I think I remember it being said that the outfits that belong to actual characters couldn't be customized, but the beta was missing features for various things (like changing your character's skin tone or height). I'm not sure we can say for certain what we'll be allowed to do in the full version.

well, they should kinda tell us BEFORE day1 if they put some gt and/or db characters in it, it would help sell this game even better. It looks like Cell has more then his perfect form and you can fuse mid battle.

I hope fusing mid battle is in. I could see it being like it was in the Budokai games, but it'd be cool if you had Goku and Vegeta on the same team and fused them instead of just whoever uses fusion being Gogeta/Vegetto and the other still being his usual, unfused self. Maybe it wouldn't work with multiple players, but if you play with the AI it'd be a cool feature. Make the fusions really strong and stuff so they can feasibly take on multiple fighters.

I think that mid battle fusions won't be possible, because you can edit the skills of a character and even because of moveset changes and SSJ Ki drain. I have a feeling, that they are going to be separate characters only (also hypothesis is based on the Perfect Cell discussion). I don't get the whole Cell/Freeza will have separate forms... nobody seems to be considering the hypothesis that DIMPS could simply make their transformations permanent and not Ki-draining. Just like we can't revert from them in the Spike games.

It would be a dick move if these are only items for your created char and not having anything to do with the actual chars being in this game at this point.
I mean i still want to play as bills or infact any other original char only cuz i have a created char doesnt mean i only play with him.

Also looks like Broly and a Syn Shenron/Omega Shenron might be confirmed, too. And Vegeta has his "My Bulma..." quote from BoG.

If we get GT then I do think SSj4 Broli won't be that far off now. We got LSSj3 Broli in RB to promote Dragon Battlers.
