Geez... I feel ancient reading through these posts.
I'm 30. I first got into Dragon Ball during the original U.S run of the Goku/Pilaf saga back in late 95. ( I believe it was the Samurai Pizza Cats lead-in that got me tuned in in the first place though ) I was 9.

I don't feel like an adult yet. Haven't even graduated school.
Happy birthday man! Don't worry, feeling like an adult is over rated haha.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
I turned 18 a couple of minutes ago
I've been watching "DBZee" since I was like 8 or 9, but I only got really into it when I was 13-14.
My first exposure to Japanese Dragon Ball was "Yo! Son Goku and friends return". I remember passionately hating the subbed version because I was used to hearing Dub voices and suddenly hearing Japanese was... quite unexpected.
I eventually got around to watching Anime like Bleach subtitled and decided to give Japanese DB another chance... and then there was no turning back.

Happy birthday! I remember first being exposed to Japanese dragonball the same way. I didn't really care though, I was just happy for more dragonball.

Thanks a lot!
Yeah, I think "Yo!" wasn't a good place to start either. If I saw the funnier parts of early Dragon Ball that were censored in the English dub, like Lunch wanting to hijack a plane or Kame-sennin and his "Pafu-Pafu", then maybe I'd instantly realize what I was missing by watching the English version.
I don't particularly care about English Dragon Ball nowadays but I really appreciate that FUNImation is adapting the original script more faithfully, it makes the newer DB fans actually know what they're talking about.
25 here. Been watching Dragonball since it first started airing on cartoon network. The first episode I caught was in the middle of Goku and Piccolo fighting Raditz. I think I was around 5 or 6 at the time so It's one of the first things I was really into. Very fortunate that my Father and older brother also got into it eventually. (Much to my mothers dismay.) So it was really easy to convince our parents to buy us the VHS tapes.
Turned 21 two weeks ago. Been a hardcore Dragon Ball fan since I was 4 years old(because of my environment lol). Great to see that DBZ is still popular under the younger people.
Not a fan of the franchise for as long as people here are..
It has been a year since I actually saw Dragonball..
I only knew Goku saw him sometimes on TV..
Grew up and said fuck it, let's see what his story was about..
And in a year, I am pretty much exponentially more knowledgeable thanks to this site

I'm not giving away my age yet, but I'm probably the youngest person on this forum

We'll have standards. We'll have quality control. We'll have better information. And I'm sure, people will naturally gravitate to it once there is some substance.
The best way to fix the giant cancer that is the DB Wiki is to provide an alternative for those who really want it. Even those who prefer dub names will wind up looking things up on the Kanzenshuu Wiki. Because sooner or later, they're going to need information they know they can trust.
