Who is still alive during the Goku Jr. Special?

As for the question....I can't think of anyone that has already been mentioned. Maybe Goten had a few kids and there is a great grandchild running around somewhere.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I think Dende would still be alive as well as Popo and Karin (whom I personally believe are immortal) and maybe #17 and #18.

I was just rewatching the Boo Saga, and I think my assessment of Rou Kaioshin being the reason Goku is still alive in the Goku Jr. Special was reinforced. When the younger Kaioshin offers to give Goku his life in the old one's place, Rou Kaioshin responds, "No, you're still young. I probably only have a few thousand years or so left anyway."
Would that not be the direct reason why Goku would still retain his youth while still being alive 100 years later?

Doesn't Pan flat-out think/say something like "oh, she's Bulma's descendant" in the episode?Bussani wrote:Pan is Goku Jr's great great grandmother, I believe, so she was probably Bra's (or Trunks' maybe?) great granddaughter.

I think Rou Kaioshin simply meant that he'd already lived his life. It's like saying "They have their whole lives ahead of them, I'm old, take me instead." Besides that, the line wasn't written with GT in mind.Thanos wrote:I was just rewatching the Boo Saga, and I think my assessment of Rou Kaioshin being the reason Goku is still alive in the Goku Jr. Special was reinforced. And I think they meant Karin and Mr Popo were immortal, as in, won't die of old age. They could still be killed. But since even Kaioshin have limited lifespans, I doubt those guys are truly immortal when it comes to age.
I haven't seen that part of GT for so long that I'm not sure...but I think she does. We don't know if it was on Bra or Trunks' side of course.Herms wrote:Doesn't Pan flat-out think/say something like "oh, she's Bulma's descendant" in the episode?
Judging by the ages and how much time had passed, I'd guess that she's Bulma's great great granddaughter.
Edit: I think she guessed that the woman must be Bulma's descendant. But if she's Vegeta Jr's mother, than that's pretty much proof, isn't it? There's no other way he could have Saiyajin blood.
Edit 2: ...Unless he's descended from Pan as well. But that would make his mother's resemblance to Bulma and his resemblance to Vegeta make no sense.

Hey... wait a second! If Vegeta was the Hank Hill of Dragon Ball, then he would have a narrow urethra! That would also have made it difficult to conceive Trunks... let alone Bra...Oolong215 wrote:"Bulma, there's propane in my urethra!"Bussani wrote:Probably more from his angry nature.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote: So high blood pressure from those torture trainings?Vegeta's like the Hank Hill of Dragon Ball.

Old in Kaioshin terms... he did say (according to the original Japanese script) that he had a few thousand years left.Bussani wrote:I think Rou Kaioshin simply meant that he'd already lived his life. There's no reason why Goku would live less amount of time, since he has Rou Kaioshin's life force. Besides, what other explanation is there for him being alive? I guess the premise that his saving the Earth countless times caused him to be awarded immortality by some unseen godly forces, but who knows?
I refuse to accept that he's actually dead.
There's no way he is. No halo, and he can come to Earth. After he died in the Cell Saga, they said he was absolutely not allowed to go back to the "lower realm" anymore. He was only able to go back after Rou Kaioshin gave him his life and he was alive.
I saw it as Rou Kaioshin just giving Goku his life. That is, his status of being alive, not his lifespan. I guess that's a possibility, but if it was going to make Goku live thousands of years, you'd think someone would have mentioned it.
I don't think Goku is 'dead' at the end of GT. I think when he disappeared with Shenlong, he became something else, beyond the living world and afterlife. Maybe a guardian spirit who watches over Earth or something.

I do not get it but I believe in an interview in Daizenshuu #2, Toriyama said that he did not like Vegeta.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:...How would you know? Toriyama hated Saiyan-Professor, "Oh! Let's just dump this white-bearded Saiyan by having Freeza blow up Planet Vegeta! I'm sick of him already!"
Mike and I had a discussion a while ago in a thread about some comments he made concerning Muten Roshi being immortal because of the fact that he was a Sage and all his martial arts training. In light of that, I argued that Vegeta and Kakarrot should be eternal because of their level of training. Therefore, I do not think the Saiyan lifespan thing applies to them.Herms wrote:In the Q&A section at the back of the SEG: Character Volume, Toriyama says that while a Saiyan's youthful period is longer than humans (as said in chapter 518), their actual lifespans are not all that different than Earthlings. So while they remain youthful for a long time, at a certain age they begin to rapidly degenerate. Kind of a creepy thought.Castor Troy wrote:What does it say about the lifespan?
There was a supposed quote/rumor on the Japanese Wikipedia that Toriyama once said Vegeta Jr. would be a descendent of Trunks and Tenshinhan and Lunch’s daughter if he had handled the conclusion of GT. Hence, if you believe that the woman at the end of GT is descended from Trunks.piccolo-san785 wrote:...Well I managed to locate an answer to my own question

According to dragonball.wikia
"she is a descendant of Bulma and likely the granddaughter of either Bulla or Trunks."
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.
