Yes. This color is the exact color of SSJ eyes. I don't see any green in it though, just light-blue.Xyex wrote: I think they're supposed to be teal. Half blue, half green.

No I guess I wasn't clear enough. ^_^;BobZ wrote:True, I made little sense with that statement.Olivier Hague wrote:Huh?BobZ wrote:Well, in the Trunks above I think it's normal that he still has them, as he was trying to become SSJ and had't transformed completely.Sorry. What I actually meant was that in the shot above Trunks was still training and he wasn't completely transformed, so that's why his eyes basically remained the same as usual.
What makes you think he's "not completely transformed", there?

Yeah, always looked more green than blue to me, too. Maybe more like this color than the former one.Amigo Ten wrote:They always looked more green than blue to me.hleV wrote:Yes. hleV: It may look pure blue to you, but it's not.
On a somewhat related, though not exactly, note.... What color is Bulma's hair in the anime? I've always thought it looked green, but I'm always reading people calling her a 'bluette' in fanfiction and such. Of course, I'm somewhat color blind to blue, so it's entirely possible it's just a shade I can't see. >.>

Re: SSJ3 eyes question
I would have called SSJ eyes turquoise, but now that you mention it, teal does look much closer.
I've certainly never thought they look blue. Definitely somewhere between blue and green, and far enough from blue that I'd simply call them green if I wasn't using fancy in-between-color names.

Yeah. I said half and half before but it's more like 70/30 green/blue. Definitely closer to the green side, but there's also definitely some blue in them.Bussani wrote:I would have called SSJ eyes turquoise, but now that you mention it, teal does look much closer.

Yeah, I've always used "teal" to describe the color. When I do any drawings (and have limited access to colors), coloring with 100% blue always looks a lot weirder than 100% green.

Re: SSJ3 eyes question
That really depends from episodes/movies. For example Vegeta's eyes in DBZ movie 13 are blue, freaking light blue. In DBKai Goku's eyes are definitely green and only green, there isn't any blue in them. Other times, like when Goku is fighting #19 they are more aqua.
Any official word on the color? From the Daizenshuu or something?

I would like to add that factors such as "remastering" and also the contrast on your TV may alter the color quite a bit:Senzu_Bean wrote:That really depends from episodes/movies. I borrowed this from SSJ Rambo, I hope that is OK.

I believe the seventh Daizenshû does indeed specify a color in the "Super Saiyan" entry... 'Can't check it right now though, sorry.Senzu_Bean wrote:Any official word on the color? From the Daizenshuu or something?

Re: SSJ3 eyes question
Yeah, the technique dictionary refers to Super Saiyan pupils as "emerald green" (エメラルドグリーン).
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?

Which is a bit confusing, since it has many different kinds of lightness:

These are three different variations I've found:

But then I guess that the anime and movies have used different lightness too.
