I think Saban wants to hype kids for The Vortexx!

The programming on Vortexx confirmed is WWE Saturday Morning Slam which will take the place of DBZKai's existing 10AM Slot. I assure Nicktoons still airs that 97-episode series.

Well, this is awkward. Also, their description of the Vortexx is a "a five-hour block of original children's programming aimed at young boys." I don't know about you, but a heavily edited version of Kai with horrible music placement isn't what I call "original children's programming ." So, I guess it's safe to say nothing related to Dragon Ball will air? To end the Vortexx hype, it seems to be starting on August 25.

Now that Nicktoons airs GT and the Z movies, Kai doesn't come on much anymore. Also, Nicktoons might not necessarily help in this situation since it seems a fair portion of Kai viewers on 4Kids are people who don't get Nicktoons (I have a friend like this, for example) Nitpicky, but that's a 96-episode series, since 97 and 98 never aired on the channel. They are available on Nicktoon's site as "lost episodes" though.

Kai will continue to air on Vortexx Saturdays at 10:30AM. No clue on if it'll be new to CW episodes.

Edit: Apparently a promo aired this morning stated that new episodes of Kai will air on Vortexx.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I just saw it a minute ago too while channel flipping. Oh God, it's only 2 weeks until they start mangling with the rest of the series.

Can somebody upload the promo on youtube? I was planning on watching it, but I forgot about it.

Cmon! Nicktoons already edited the second half of the show to CW Standards.

Well well it looks like we'll finally get to see how 4Kids handles the Trunks kills Frieza scene thanks for the upload Ani-Nation7.
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

Your ignorance is amazing.

4kids never edited Kai. Funimation made the edits according to the CW's demands. 4kids doesn't even have anything to do with the block anymore, it's run by Saban.

Oops I'd completely forgotten about that either way it'll still be interesting to see how the Trunks kills Frieza scene is handled.

If Vortexx/Saban et al. are behind the edits, I wonder if Funimation are going to put their foot down if the edits become too egregious.

They wont. These airings bring much needed exposure and revenue for them.

One shocker is that they kept that scene where Bulma makes assumptions of Vegeta sexually harassing her....worse. Knowing 4kids, I think they'd want that edited out.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.
