Still can't fathom on how amazing this message board looks. The color schemes are superbs. Best forums layout ever seen. For some reason this feels very royal. Guess I just found my avatar to blend well with this new layouts.

Flipping awesome!
I always thought the old layout looked a bit dull so it's good to see it get a bit of a makeover.
Re: Welcome to the New Kanzenshuu Forum!
I'm not gonna lie, this is gonna take some getting used to...that being said, it does look nice, and meshes well with the main site.

Re: Welcome to the New Kanzenshuu Forum!
I'm really glad you guys joined forces...Kanzenshuu has been just one pleasant surprise after another. New layout looks fantastic, and I'm glad to see a "Back to Website" link in the banner.
One minor complaint; I'm not a fan of how large the section devoted to user information is. I feel like it sort of takes visual emphasis away from the posts, and there appears to be a decent amount of empty space between "Joined" and the divider. Maybe it's just something that will take time adjusting to, but I just figured I'd mention it.

The huge gap between the profile column and your actual post will take some getting used to.

I keep seeing the google+ button in the corner of my eye and mistaking it for a red inbox +1 message used on other forums I visit.

Re: Welcome to the New Kanzenshuu Forum!
The new forum looks nice but there are two things that I strongly dislike:
1. Having the posts start almost in the middle of the screen - I catch myself staring blankly at avatars wondering what they have to do with the topic and only then I look to the right and see the actual content. Huge minus for that.
2. This one is a minor point, but still an irritating one - in the former iteration of the forum I could easily spot whether the topic I was interested in had unread posts. Now the difference between grey and red lines is too small to be noticeable...
Other than that I like it

I'll toss my hat into the "too much empty space in the user avatar/info section" pile, too. Hopefully that's something that can be easily changed, and isn't hard-coded into the forum software or something.

Re: Welcome to the New Kanzenshuu Forum!
Like I said on the previous page, the reason the giant dead space shows up is because the width of the profile and post elements are set to a percentage. This means that the larger your resolution, the larger the empty space will look. So, I've come up with a solution. I've inserted a few extra lines of code that will check to see what your resolution currently is, and will then adjust the percentages accordingly to remove the empty space. You might have to refresh your browser for it take effect though. And hopefully this resolves that issue.

Assuming you're not being sarcastic, I don't think it can get much closer without clipping off people's avatars.

Well, in my case, the empty space is still pretty large.Hujio wrote:Assuming you're not being sarcastic, I don't think it can get much closer without clipping off people's avatars.
