Can't say I'm a big fan of the power out of no where either. But that happens other times too, like when Goku first turns SS. So I always kind of figured that Cell getting his version of SS2 was like that, new transformations seem to come with free power.Kakarot88 wrote:Overall I like Cell's Kanzentai best especially when he returns all amped up from exploding...but the fact he gained power without healing or a senzu and just from renegerating when every other heal weakend him was some of the worst deus ex machina in the series...not that he got stronger from near death like all Saiyans but that he got stronger AND had all his energy back...ya know?
I also love that even though Gohan got the kill it was really Vegeta who saved the day.
I loved the Cell arc but as a character I found Cell lacked any real substantiation. He was an amalgamation of everyone so even his design I wanted something more humanoid than bug like given the amount of Saiyan in him. I loved him more in the anime than the manga as his creepy bug likeness translated better to me there than in the original work (I know blasphemy) but that's my opinion.

I actually prefer Dameon Clarke as Semi Perfect Cell, the way he makes him sound like the most arrogant douche with that toad(?) (not sure how to describe it) voice is absolutely perfect.dbzfan7 wrote:Yeah second form Cell is so hammy in every english adaption.VegettoEX wrote:It's not like Wakamoto didn't adjust his acting accordingly with each subsequent form. It just wasn't... well... over-acted (I'm primarily looking at you, English-Language-Second-Form-Cell).
