Shouldn't it be the other way around? Piccolo reminds you of Batman.

I don't think Kai changed my perception of Dragon Ball at all, other than I was right that a good dub was possible and could be popular.

Kai most definitely changed my perception of DBZ. Everything in Kai is like a well oiled version of the Z series and it made me appreciate the original story even more (without all the filler). The original Z anime still has a special place in my heart and I still watch it but Kai is my definitive viewing experience for Dragon Ball Z.

I mean, whether Jesus is real or not, he - he's had a bigger impact on the world than any of us have. And the same can be said for Bugs Bunny and - and Superman and Harry Potter. They've changed my life - changed the way I act on the earth. Doesn't that make them kind of real? They might be imaginary but, but they're more important than most of us here. And they're all gonna be around here long after we're dead. So, in a way, those things are more realer than any of us.

Not mine but from some people out here definitely. A lot of people got introduced to the japanese version thanks to Kai.

I heard humans saying:
"Now that I'm wacthing Dragon Ball Kai in japanese, things feel different. Some details I didnt get in our dub, I'm understanding now."
"Strange. But this version makes me think the series is better than I thought."
"The story is going fast, this makes it more enjoyable."
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
