I agree. He's a guy who's lived in a dark and twisted future for his entire life. If anyone should talk like that it's him. Not to mention it's a world with a totally different tone to the lighthearted main timeline.

And speaking of poetic and Dragonball I know it might not exactly count as poetic but what about some of the stuff Frieza says in Kai like "You've given me a very bracing workout. Part of me might even shed a tear".

Freeza is aristocratic, so it fits. I don't see how just because he comes from a dark future that it fits him. Trunks is polite and straightforward.
