Let's play the ____ reminds me of ____ game.
Let's see, hmm, yes, I agree, Bulla's outfit reminds me of hookers... Shameful indeed.
Annnnd, Chi-Chi's unifo... What? Dear lord, who dressed this poor child up like that? What the hell were they intending to do with h... Oh no... oh dear glob NO!
Why wasn't Bra present in BOG?

Hehehe, this is exactly what I thought.Scarz wrote:Bra might have not been in BoG but after Vegeta's rage boost (powered solely by love) and Bulma's yearning loins longing for him all over again, I'm sure by the next movie something's going to brewing in there.
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

Not allowing a young girl to wear sexy fashionable clothes that an adult urban woman wears because she is too young for such clothes is one thing. Seeing reddish boots and thinking "fetish! hooker!" is entirely another. This discussion is especially relevant to me because in my country nowadays I see women with high boots like that in several colors on the street every day in real life and none of them are hookers, its just fashion. If I had a mindset like you have regarding Bra, I wouldn't get very far without unpleasant thoughts about women.... Also, I find it funny that if Bra had exactly the same clothes minus the boots and the arm sleeves, she would be more naked but you would probably find her clothes way more agreeable with you...Eire wrote:Yes, because those boots and gloves are totally innocent addition you would let your daughter wear and no time, place and convention doesn't matter.
Last time I was crazy feminist with indecent avatar, so I guess I can bear being called mysogynic for a change.
Anyway, you would do well in noticing that my argument was not even whether or not Bra's clothes were in good taste. I merely demonstrated to you that Toriyama had already put questionable clothing on young girls, like Chichi, when you tried to argue that he hadn't done so before Bra. For some reason, you almost bent backwards denying it and muddling the issue, but the fact remains that it makes no sense, nor is it coherent, to think that Chichi's clothes are any better, aside for a completely arbitrary differentiation.
Exactly. Even if a person is reminded of hookers by Bra's clothing, Chichi's clothes aren't any better.White Oni wrote:Let's play the ____ reminds me of ____ game.

Still, I still say that the comparison to hookers from just Bra's clothes continues to seem forced and arbitrary to me given all that I have stated.
