Which of Chris Sabat's voices for Vegeta did you like most?

In the case of Goku, I don't have an actual source for this, but I've seen other people claim that Schemmel didn't want to re-dub his lines because he wanted people to see his evolution as an actor.

I'd imagine all the other characters not getting re-dubbed were more a case of Funimation deciding that it wasn't really worth the considerable financial investment that re-dubbing all those character across so many episodes would cost.

Chris Sabat didn't redo his Season 3 Piccolo either, which doesn't make sense because he re-did his Vegeta.

Well he's not doing more acting roles for free. Each voice you do you get paid a bit more since you're doing more work.

I never liked the idea of Vegeta having a deep brutish wrestler voice and his Drummond impression was awful so I'de have to go with his Kai performance since at least now he can act without the voice getting in the way. The problem with Kai though is now his Piccolo and Vegeta sound even closer since he's basically using his natural voice with a very minor pitch change.

They should of recast one of them really but I guess when you're the voice director and producer(?) of DBKai no one will call you out for being greedy with lead roles.

I personally find his Piccolo and Vegeta to be a lot more different than they are the same with how he portrays them nowadays. Back in the early days, his Piccolo laugh and Vegeta laugh were pretty much the same and, when yelling, it was hard to distinguish them at times if I wasn't directly looking at the screen. Now, I can clearly tell who is making any sort of noise whether I'm looking at the screen or not.

By the way, the current portrayal is my favorite. Almost two decades of experience with the character, better scripting and direction, and not having to imitate the amazing Brian Drummond have done a lot of good for all of this Dragon Ball characters that he still portrays.

Buu saga. Chris Sabat put a lot of emotion into the character, especially during the Majin Vegeta arc. I always get chills when I hear "Every breath you take is an insult to my honour."

Kai. Sabat's journey from contender for worst voice acting in Funimation history to contender for best voice acting in Funimation history - for the same character - is staggering.

I completely agree. Aside from the voice sounding so much more natural, his acting is fantastic and really moving at times.
