Say whatever you want, but that was the single scene where he behaved as a real king, swallowing his own pride to not enrage those he couldn't compete with and save his planet. Sharp contrast to anime where he was told to be genius, but behaved as retarded, spoiled brat.

Did he really? In the anime, he only revolted against Freeza when the guy kidnapped his son. Even for the most devoted king, I can believe that's drawing the line. He also chose to kill Broly as a baby just in case he turned out to be dangerous, despite Paragas pleading that Broly would be a loyal soldier and serve him. A retarded spoiled brat would have let Broly live and planned to use him to take over the universe, but Vegeta played it safe.

Let's just forget that guy.

Nope. Retarded spoiler brats don't make plans. And King Vegeta doesn't, to the point when you start to wonder how did he win against Tuffles.

Young Vegeta kidnapped? He was hardly the first royal kid to be taken a hostage. Real life monarchs swallowed their pride, knowing that the only thing they can do is play along. Ok, let's say that it was the last straw and King Vegeta saw it as "him or us"-his so called revolt consisted of pushing everyone on his way until he hit the wall with no plan and no backup.

For Brolly? I've watched this scene and no, our monarch isn't worried about state of the universe. Please, he had him given on a silver plate. Occasion to raise one of the most powerful beings in the universe as his own. Wise king would have use it for goddess sake, because wise kings weren't omnipotent experts but guys who acknowledged that they need someone to rely on and could convince people that it's a pleasure and privilege to serve under them.

I really have a soft spot for that guy and want to see him being given a proper spotlight because ATM his apparent genius is just an informed attribute, contained by everything we see on TV.

Hey, give him some credit, his plan got the Saiyans as far as Freeza's throne room before Freeza himself put an end to the revolt. I would think of it more as the king's plan and the events of the revolt weren't entirely explained, rather than he simply had no plan.

About Broly, Vegeta clearly made the right decision. If he kept Broly to use as a soldier thinking he would gain more power, he would have been proven a selfish fool as soon as Broly went insane and blew up the planet. He played it safe, and ultimately that was the right decision.

Other possible reasons for Vegeta not being king:

-His mother's still alive.
-An older sibling is still alive.
-The King had chose an heir expectant instead of an heir apparent when he was still alive and this guy's still around. Calling it now: Onio. :D

It's gotta suck being the Saiyan named after onion.

Giving that his revolt was based on punching it's hard to believe. Frieza wasn't even surprised when he saw him- hardly a proof for a plan.

Nobody is doomed to be insane, even if his twin or both parents are, so no, he wasn't right. I'd tell that being raised apart from own culture by bitter and disappointed father without anyone similar was a bigger factor. So basically he is to blame. Explain how relying on others in various areas of competitions make real life leaders selfish fools.

He's an actual Saiyan in Neko Majin Z (which is set a few years after Dragonball ends). http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Onio

Was it Raditz, Nappa or Vegeta who said it would take about a month to conquer Earth? It would take (non-SSJ) Onio about that long as well, so that gives you an idea as to how weak he is.

Only the first time died Vegeta, Tarble could have requested the title.

The second time by the laws of succession title passes to Trunks.

By the human laws of succession. I don't think we could apply that human thing to another race until, of course... An in-depth Saiyan's background.

By some human laws of succession. You can't even apply that to our own species as a whole.

Not canon. Vegeta's dad was Beerus' bitch instead.
Maybe he finds the anime canon since there is no official canon.

Well, Vegeta's dad being humilated is from anime as well... So whatever.

Technically he should be king. Of one saiyan. But he doesn't seem to care much anyway. He is an earthling now.
