I too would really want for Gohan to come back and the hints are there that's for sure although the last one I got was from 67 with him being tired just by... flying? lol

He could have just finished his training and changed quicly. He had his Mystic look and no glasses.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Err no. He's in his work clothes. Piccolo likely went to go get him. Last time he was training with Piccolo he was in his tracksuit.Saturnine wrote:Well, he's training with Piccolo. That's all we were hinted, really.
We can hope he plays a big role in one of subsequent arcs, but I'd temper my expectations.
Gohan always uses glasses, except when he's fighting. Gohan fans are hopeful, and Toei is playing with that.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

And he's back to his nerdy self next episode with glasses. Why would he need to get changed? It's highly likely he flew quick to get to Trunks and his glasses fell off.FortuneSSJ wrote:He could have just finished his training and changed quicly. Plus Piccolo wasn't training when Goku came to present for the Mafuba. He was just lounging around.

Gohan only gets his mystic hair when he's fighting, otherwise he has his civilian look.

Re: They keep dropping hints about Gohan
Yep, in BoG he had no bang, but when he went ultimate he got one and his eyes changed to what they were at the end of the newest episode of Super.precita wrote:Gohan only gets his mystic hair when he's fighting, otherwise he has his civilian look.
Ultimate is treated as a transformation.
Gohan was with piccolo, tired and in his Ultimate form, I think it's pretty clear what was happening and I don't know why people are so adamant about saying no.
Re: They keep dropping hints about Gohan
But people told me there Mytic is no transformation... LOL
And let us see if he can Super Saiyan as well on top on that.

Re: They keep dropping hints about Gohan
I get the feeling that Toei wants to bring him back, but Toriyama's not really up for it. If we do indeed have an arc coming up without a Toriyama outline, I wouldn't be surprised to see him more active.
Re: They keep dropping hints about Gohan
Seriously they even gave us kaioken ssj blue ..you think they haven't sat down and talked about Mystic God Gohan? If course they have, it's common sense. You bring a character down only to bring him back up. It's basic story telling. Gohan has no reason to train at the moment. He knows that there's people there to brunt the load plus Beerus and Whis that have a soft spot for earth now.
But if you take that away and you put his family in danger..Gohan will snap. And when that happens it's going to be pretty damn impressive.

Re: They keep dropping hints about Gohan
Toriyama only provides general outlines and story details anyway, he doesn't decide every single thing that happens in the actual episodes. Gohan doesn't have to be the main hero of an arc similar to Trunks, but he can still be used as a major fighter even if Toriyama doesn't care for him.batistabus wrote:I get the feeling that Toei wants to bring him back, but Toriyama's not really up for it. Gohan is pretty much the main character of Z and no one can convince me otherwise. He deserves better here.

Re: They keep dropping hints about Gohan
No thanks...I'd like to actually see Goku and Vegeta win a fight. They really haven't yet in Super.
Beerus? Loss
RoF? Loss
Hit? Loss
Goku Black? Loss
Zamasu? Loss
Yes technically all the situations worked out...but I mean a fight. For a show supposedly only centered on Goku/Vegeta they sure do a lot of losing.

They won in Resurrection 'F', even if Whis helped. And if you want to be technical, Goku won his fight with Freeza and he got helped by outside inference to take out Goku. So Goku getting help from Whis only evens the score.GodKaio-Ken wrote:No thanks...I'd like to actually see Goku and Vegeta win a fight. They really haven't yet in Super.

You're ignoring all the fights Goku and Vegeta won at the tournament. Goku took down Botamo and Vegeta wiped out the entire U6 team except Hit. Even against Hit, Goku forfeited since Beerus wasted his time instead of dropping the no death rule. I am not sure why you're only counting Hit.
Future Zamasu and Merged Zamasu are cheats since they can't technically be defeated since they're immortal, unless you're Zen'o. Black probably could have been overwhelmed, if he didn't have Future Zamasu as a meat shield and then later fusion partner.

This. Goku and Vegeta have gotten way too much attention already. Give the others a turn. I mean Goku and Vegeta at least got tournament wins. Piccolo and Buu got screwed out of their wins, god dammit! Yes I'm still pissed about that.HeroR wrote:They won in Resurrection 'F', even if Whis helped. Okay I'll accept Res. F as an evening of the score. The rest were minor battles however and minor battles don't really count to me. Especially since they weren't henchman of a villain or something. Basically glorified sparing matches more or less.
I will go back and say Goku/Vegeta could get a win with Gohan involved...the two arent mutually exclusive.

Re: They keep dropping hints about Gohan
Not counting minor battle and only counting the main 'boss' is really just being picky. Rather they were 'glorified' sparring matches doesn't matter. They won and the showed they were the superior fighting even without using brute force.GodKaio-Ken wrote:

And what could Goku and Vegeta won with Gohan?

Re: They keep dropping hints about Gohan
Yeah, I love how Gohan got tired just from flying. There's hope...

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

He went somewhere. He went off screen, far away from anything interesting. -_-Big Black Saiyan wrote:"Gohan will make comeback."

If Super goes on for 100-150+ episodes, you people really don't expect Gohan to never be in a fight again?

Apology for memeing, personal I would really like to see Gohan make a comeback, he's one of my more favorite characters and I just wanna see him do something.
I have borderline personality disorder, if my posts ever come off as aggressive or word vomit-y to you, please let me know.
