Vegeta also enjoyed torture and genocide.
But he wasn't space Hitler
That's Space Napoleo Hitler to you, pal.

Freeza becoming a good guy doesn’t mean good writing or bad .
The question is how to write that transformation.... as how we are now seems impossible to me , and honestly I won’t like him to be a good guy . If they find a way of build up to make that with something unexpected and well write it’s another thing , but that will require time an a brilliant idea , not just this tournament performance.
It was as if a whole lot of people ...were screaming in pain....

Bet that no one expected a demon tyrant to become step-father of the year, but ... there you go.

It depends...

But I think it would be a stupid idea.

As with everything it depends on how you right it. I bet everyone would have said the idea of Goku and Freeza fighting side by side to save the universe and both sacrificing themselves to defeat a bad guy would have seemed crazy this time last year.

Freeza is an amoral sociopath who is only interested in his own desires and circumstances. While I'm certain that the sharing of a foxhole with Goku in this tournament helped inspire a new appreciation for the Saiyan that goes beyond unadulterated hatred, his heart and mind are still nefarious by their nature. He's still a power mad despot looking to expand his totalitarian influence across the universe. Whis' actions endangered untold numbers of lives. If the civilisations who come into contact with Freeza now were to find out the truth, I wouldn't begrudge them any resentment towards the Z-group for helping to facilitate the rebirth of this dictator.

Maybe not, but I like to think that this also involves Freeza.
