Here are some pictures of the boxes I took before I sent them out to their respective new owners.

Hey Adamant, I hope you don't mind that I watched this disc. But I did it for you, to make sure it plays fine, which it does. Very well.

What a pale comparison.

At least they got the box art right, for the most part.

Considering I actually have the money, I now kind of wish I went after that first Z box.

They're just so pretty.

A stupid question but...

WHY are Dboxes so hard to get? I've never really tried to get them, but they're obviously very nice sets. I know they're expensive though. But what's so hard? Does TOEI not make them anymore? Was it a limited time thing? Is it just because it's in Japan?

I would love to own the Z boxes, movies and DB boxsets. I just have no idea where to find them.

They were released in limited, limited, limited numbers. Did I say limited?

You could get them second hand from Yahoo Auctions or Amazon.co.jp.

That's what I plan on doing one day... if I won the lottery maybe...

How much do they generally run for? I think I'd be happy with just the DBZ boxes. I don't know, they sound pretty cool. I just read up on them and found out they came with little gifts, books, etc. I wish I knew about them when they were coming out.

The two Z boxes are together on Yahoo Auction Japan for $2000 for both of them (Unopened), and the GT Box is about $500, the Dragon Ball box for about $700 and the movies box for around $600 or less.

Wow, so all the boxes have appreciated in price, except DragonBall which has dropped? That's kinda sad.

No, I noticed the first Z box having dropped to about 60000 yen now, while it used to go for close to 80000.
Probably a result of people putting them up for sale and no one buying - there's always a ton of them up for sale, so they're relatively simple to get ahold of.

Ah, I misread. I thought it said they were selling for those prices. Oops.

I'm not surprised they're in supply. It's just the difficulty we would run into getting them, what with the language barrier and slight sense of xenophobia a lot of people tend to have.

I know this is rude, but somebody was probably gonna say it you anyway, so I'm gonna be the first:

This is possibly the best post you've ever made but unfortunately it has no effect on this man. He thinks so long as he ignores everything we'll fall for his stupidity.

What's funny is that I never received a single PM from PrincessVegeta until I joined the Capsule-Corp forum (Gokuden's forum) for the purpose of posting the links to the original Daizex threads that he word-for-word stole his posts from. I even addressed him as Gokuden in the response at the end of it and he didn't even acknowledge it.

They are a waste of money if you have no knowledge of Japanese if you ask me. Sure they look pretty but come on, you can get a used car with that $3800.

Even if they had English subtitles I wouldn't spend 3,800 on a cartoon.
