Uh..... Personally I'm bit disappointed, if this speculation of Godly Dimensional War will become a title or the theme of the movie. It's not so bad having a Battle of Gods sequel, but this would be so stereotypical in my view. There is a battle and that should be followed by a war.... So Goku is still a God in his SSJ/Base form as he can use Instant Transmission to access the Godly battlefield, as that is the poster is suggesting me. I'm waiting for SSJ-God Vegeta. But how do they create him if Goku if already a God? Maybe they find Tarble using Whis's magical stick? Maybe ....

Well he now has godli Ki, so being able to sense beings like Beerus should no longer be a problem for him. Now we also know he couldn't sense Gohan on the Kaioshin's world but its possible this godli ki can help him sense through dimensional barriers. Its too early to say anyway, for now its the waiting game.

Battle of Gods from other worlds would be cool. I hope for some good fight scenes and not stuff that fanboys that want to wank to death with.

I hope this movie has some sort of connective set up with the canon so that it can just slip in and not feel like it appeared out of no where, even the older movies had SOME ties to canon plot points. And this time have the Elder/Grand Kai or even Whis tell the Z-Senshi about this world. Not Shenron and not the unlikely King kai. It wouldnt make sense for King Kai to know this...and no more Freeza references please Toriyama. Hes dead.

Freeza is reference a-lot because he's(Before the SSJs appeared) was the strongest being in the universe that wasn't "created". He the stepping stone and most likely the most known villain in the entire universe. I would't be shocked if some people think he was still alive.

Oh I know. I was going by PRE-BoG(As it interviews...and full colored manga). Though we can still argue the same thing. Think about it. Boo been sealed up for a LONG LONG time. So most likely he was forgotten by most. So I guess you can Freeza is the most well-known strongest in the universe(By strongest I mean top ten). But the point was that Freeza is more well-known towards anyone in the universe. I do think people believe that Freeza is still alive along with King Cold. In matter of fact.

Freeza is mentioned a lot because he is the most well known villain in Dragon Ball and the villain against Goku when he first went SSJ.

Even then, id say hold off. Its only Goku's head and hand being shown so of course its gonna have a greater level of detail than a full body shot. Perhaps when full body shots and art of other characters come out, until then I remain apprehensive of Yamamuro's current quality.

If it takes place in a "Godly Dimension", then I'm guessing that's how the 'Instantaneous Movement' promo image ties in with the film.

I've just dinied that. It's obviously not a new in-universe term, and "battle of a new dimension" must be nothing but an exaggerated way to say "awesome battle." You guys are reading too much into it.

I guess it's like how Goku remarks that being a Super Saiyan God is like a 'whole other world', or when Piccolo comments that Kaioshin's 'dimensions' are too different to his.

To me it's no more revealing than the tagline 'The best begins' that was floating around before Battle of Gods was released.

Would be interesting if picking up right after Battle of Gods, Goku - naturally intrigued to find out more of these Universes and Gods - sets out on a journey to find them. Not sure how it would all play out, but I'm sure King Kai would be able to point him in the right direction? Just a thought.

Loving that promo image of Goku though. That very confident grin he displays when he's certain he's able to do something. Perhaps this is him about to embark on a journey that will lead him to his greatest challenge to date?

Anyway, a film largely based away from Earth would be awesome.

I doubt it will pick up immediately after BoGs as I would think Beerus is going to be in it and he won't wake up for 3 years so I'm guessing it'll be set 3 years after BoGs or somewhere around that.

If Toriyama's previous history with villains is anything to go by, Beerus and Whis will probably be involved somehow, but they'll probably be allies, or at least not antagonists. It just doesn't seem like Toriyama's style to revisit the same primary antagonist again - he's never done it apart from Piccolo Jr, and even then, he's technically not the same character. He brings up old concepts, such as The Red Ribbon Army or Freeza's remnant forces, but he always puts a very different spin on things.

Tienshinhan, Piccolo, Vegeta, #18, Mr Buu, Uub, Abo and Cado - the list goes on and on. It seems like Toriyama genuinely gets so attached to his villains that he has trouble writing them out completely.
