You know with all that scheme of bringing back a villain to be on U7 team in the ToP, they could bring back Goku Black in U10 Team, what do ya think? lol

I don't know; I guess we just part ways here. I think this makes perfect sense after the events or Resurrection "F". Though, again, I figured Beerus would be the one to insist they bring their third strongest fighter, moral implications be damned.

Everyone's also acting like Goku and Freeza are going to be shaking hands like Batman and Superman going off to fight crime. It's likely to be a huge source of tension heading into the arc.

Also, talk about a quadruple whammy for his teammates, who have to learn upon arrival that:

1) They're fighting for their lives, rather than for fun
2) The prize money is a lie
3) Goku is either directly responsible for the situation, or at least the target of other teams due to his flippant actions
4) They have to fight alongside Freeza

Far points man, but still sucks IMO

I think it would be better this in Champa arc and if Freeza was not killed, the whole point of reviving him again or ask to Yemma for he to comeback as Vegeta did in the Boo arc is kinda of a turn off for me.

I mean I'm not happy about this either, but I can see how at the very least plenty of great character interactions could come out of this.

I won't deny that the interactions will be interesting if Freeza really wants to cooperate and for real (or maybe he will betray them later, but act as if he is by their side), but even then its bad that they replaced Buu, a good fighter with a lot of possibilities, for Freeza, pure evil and reused villian by now. Why not replace Kame Sennin instead of Buu? He's has already been put down before, why again?

You're not included because it seems you're a yamcha fan so I get why you're mad. Buu and yamcha fans have every right to complain, but besides that I find it annoying for people to get mad about something that hasn't been executed yet

I think Freeza will not get any stronger.
The situation was so urgent, that he needed to call a villain like him, precisely because there was no more time left.

So he should be on the same level as he was in his Saga, and that's one reason he did not think they called him Cell. He would not have time to get stronger despite having potential.

Do you think he will train? The Golden Freeza form is going to be a problem.

I believed the primary reason for no sell it Cell isn't that popular in Japan. He's the least popular of all the Z villains. That and he's a pain in the ass to animate. So if you can chose from a more popular villain who is easier to animated and has a huge power gain recently, Freeza wins on all counts. It also makes me wonder if my theory about Black coming back given the NEP with Gowasu and his God of Destruction. I doubt it would be Zamasu himself since he is a Kai and gods don't appear to be invited.

In either case, I am not keen on Freeza coming back, but it's worth it from reading the reactions on this forum. This makes the Frost vs. Piccolo fight fallout looks like salt sprinkles. This is probably the biggest troll of all Toriyama, my hats off to you, you evil jerk. lol

But if this Freeza decision is here to stay, they really did a poor job marketing.

Ideally, they should have only showed off the 9 fighters, then left the tenth as a secret. They should have had these episodes built-up so we the audience could try to figure out who the tenth fighter actually was: Goten, Trunks, Boo, Future Trunks, Yajirobe, Yamcha? Nope! Freeza.

A perfect troll doesn't work if the audience expects it.

I'll wait and see how this plays out. I was against the idea of Frieza returning from an in-universe perspective because he's such an evil bastard, but it looks like they're at least going to have the characters respond appropriately.

True, and that's something I never really liked about Toriyama in general. He should write whatever he wants to and all, but why do something to purposefully upset your fanbase? It just seems counter-intuitive.

I kinda like the idea of Freeza being on the team. Brings some tension if he'll fuck over the Universe 7 fighters or not. But yeah, I am bummed out that Buu isn't fighting anymore, but I guess I'm not too mad since we saw him fight earlier on in the arc.

I mean I legitimately can't think of a single way that this would work well since they're replacing a character who needs more spotlight with a villain who's gotten way to much focus recently. It's just an unsalvageable concept. I'm open to ideas though. Got any?
