メインビジュアルにもある木がある所はビルスの神殿で、魚とかがいる。ウイスには何か影がある…？
鳥山先生は何回も脚本家の人たちとストーリーを練り直した
鳥山先生が書いたキャラ設定画が公開されたんだけど、鳥山先生は18号の髪の毛の色を忘れて紫にしていて指摘されたそうだw
山ちゃんからのメッセージで、ビルスはとにかく強いがおちゃめなところもある。あと『グルメ』。
バトルが凄すぎてセリフが追い付かないとか
鳥山先生からのメッセージはだいたい既出通り
今回の映画は某実写版の出来があまりにもひどかったので個人的な復讐戦の意味もあります(笑)　←原文ママ　とか

Per the last thing Kei posted (this is roughly in order of things I found interesting):

They displayed the character images Toriyama drew for the movie. He forgot No.18's hair color, and drew her with purple hair. He had to have this mistake pointed out to him.

That tree in the poster is Bilus' temple. Apparently, it's stocked with fish and whatnot (other food perhaps, in keeping with the "gourmet" idea?).

Bilus' voice actor Koichi Yamadera says Bilus is super strong, but also has a playful side too. And then there's that thing about him being a "gourmet".

Toriyama and the scriptwriters (plural?! says "tachi") reworked the story a bunch of times.

Another reference to Toriyama saying this is his revenge for "a certain film".

I just hope that Goten gets to say or do something that isn't just him being Fusion fodder for Gotenks. He had some cute moments in the Jump special, so something like that. >_<;

New Namek wasn't created. It was just some planet that happened to be similiar to old Namek, so the Namekians decided to set up shop there.

Oh right haha, been too long since I watched/read the series. Well we could infer it might have something to do with King Kai's planet then, that'd give a bonus explanation as to why they appear there.

The aspect of Birusu having a playful side is great... it helps solidify him as a Dragon Ball character, I think. Not just another, "GRRR! I'm angry so I'mma blow some shit up!!!!" baddie, like how most of the movie/GT villains were.

I like big bad villains like Cell and Freeza. A villain doesn't have to be a playful clown to be good. Not too fond of Toriyama's gags, I am.

So if Bulma's having a big birthday party, I'd assume that it's probably a significant number (unless she just went, "I'm 43 and 2/3, bitches, I wanna have a big party 'cause I'm hella rich and I do what I want!"). Given the general description of the time frame we've been given, it'd probably be her 45th birthday, which would happen in the year 778. The events of the Boo saga take place in 774, so the setting of the movie could be about 4 years later (though Goten and Trunks should look older than that if they're supposed to be 11 and 12 years old :/...I know Gokuu aged slowly, but Gohan didn't).

Bra is given two different birth years in the Daizenshuu (778 or 780), so if this movie is going with the earlier date, it's possible that Bulma being pregnant could be a part of the story. So it might be true that the hilarious Vegeta figure is a reaction to the big news! Vegeta didn't give a shit at the time Bulma was pregnant with Trunks, so it'd be funny to see him being all excited about their second child.

Also...Pan is born in the year 779, so I guess it just depends on how much time the movie covers whether anything related to Gohan & Videl's engagement/wedding will come up.

(For the first time in I don't know how long, I pulled out my Daizenshuu to reference while making a post. And it was just to reference dates to see what kind of LoLz might be in store for the characters in this movie, rather than something "important" like battle powers )

And with this post I've gone from hoping to see "aww" moments for Gohan/Videl to hoping to see hilarious ones involving Bulma/Vegeta.

Oh I hope part of the reasoning behind her planning a birthday party for herself is to announce she's pregnant. Vegeta has to skip the party in a rush to find a gift to give her (or something bad happened to the one he was going to give her. Maybe Goku accidentally destroyed the gift and that's why he's missing too; Vegeta angrily made Goku go with him to get a replacement gift) but she doesn't know that and gets upset that he's not there for her announcement that has a lot to do with him. Vegeta doesn't know yet that Bulma's pregnant....it sounds fantastic. I want to see this now. X3
