I checked inside, nothing. I even tried putting them in the box in different orders. It seems to be a problem with the case for disc 1-3.Ex-Dubbie369 wrote:There's one of those security tags on the bottom of the box. It is sad, indeed, but it's exciting to have it so early and who knows how long it could take to get a new one, sending it back to Rightstuf and then getting another shipped out to me. Like I said, the discs are completely undamaged and they are the most important part of the product. I can live with some cracked plastic if it mean I get to watch 42 episodes of Dragon Box goodness right now. Thank you for your sympathies!Freeza Heika wrote:If I were you, I would return it for an new one. It is the DRAGONBOX after all. It is probably worth the effort of exchanging it to have a fully-pristine package.Slickmasterfunk wrote:EPIC Sadness

Mike, he was bitching about one little detail. I agree that some people do complain on the forums a lot - and I just started paying attention to them. This one is getting nasty with some other person because of screen-shots, this one is complaining about a silent (probably less than a minute) credit roll, etc. Some of it is pointless, really.VegettoEX wrote:You're just looking to complain about someone else. Knock if off. If you actually read in detail what G1Ravage wrote, you would see that the credits being used don't even accurately correspond to the material on the disc (crediting people whose work wasn't used in any amount of this production), so yes... that's a little sloppy.DemonRin wrote:That's because it kindof... Not a big deal, since the dub, in FUNi's words, was an "afterthought", but after seven straight episodes of greatness, I had to be slammed back to reality that this was a FUNi DVD.
They included the Dub on the set... they NEED to put credits in... that's part of the deal...
Wow, Dragon Ball Fans just love to complain don't they?...
What the Hell is with people who interpret any amount of factual information that isn't SPLOOOOOOOOOGE as nerd rage and whining? The same thing happened two and a half years ago when we pointed out that some information in the first orange brick's book wasn't accurate, and certain sections of fandom threw a shit fit over us pointing that out.
Was information wrong? Yes. Are we allowed to factually point that out? Yes. Deal.
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

They're minor. And the person that posted about the credits sequence outright said it doesn't ruin the sets, it's just a lazy peculiarity. And considering that the point of a screenshot comparison is to compare quality, a non-representative shot just shouldn't be used.DBZfan29 wrote:Mike, he was bitching about one little detail. I don't think anybody thinks these sets are ruined for any reason. I mean, I'm sitting here LOOKING for a reason to hate the sets, and I'm finding little to nothing to dislike and a bunch of very welcome surprises.
It's a case of everybody wanting to know every detail. These sets are a thing of legend and dreams to the majority of these forums. When someone has been able to have them actually exist in a real, physical, non-conceptual space as an actual product they could hold, it(and Funimation's track record) begs to be dug into and scrutinized in detail.
Overall, it seems like we're happy. Frankly, this is more than I ever expected or wanted from Funimation. I just want to know it all.

I think we are all happy, but some just have to find something to argue about. Like I said earlier, leave all the fighting to Goku and Vegeta in pristine clarity!!!Super Ghost Kamikaze wrote:They're minor. Anyway, boy, am I excited for this! I keep watching that FUNimation video. Next time I watch it I'll make sure to silence the video because the guy is annoying! He starts out by mimicking Kyle Hebert, and then he says "oh, I love the FUNimation dub but have to see it in Japanese." It just sounds so wrong writing it!

I have been reading up on Kanzentai's DVD Guide to tame my excitement for the Dragon Box since I have actually yet to pre-order it. Anyway, I was reading about the Scouter menus and was wondering, do FUNimation's menus use audio from the actual fight they got the fight clip from or is it silent? Another question, do they use different fight scenes at all, or just one throughout the six discs? Thanks in advance for any replies!

The main menu has the same music on each disk.DBZfan29 wrote:I have been reading up on Kanzentai's DVD Guide to tame my excitement for the Dragon Box since I have actually yet to pre-order it. And I think the episode selection is the same.
The backgrounds are different however..
Goku: "Look Vegeta! People popcorn!"
Vegeta: "What is he on?"
Vegeta: "What is he on?"

So, no special features on this set. That means there are two possibilities:
1. We're not getting any of the special features, attributing to at least part of the lower cost of the sets(along with the completely different US DVD market).
2. The adoption for a series DVD set slides off more and more the further into a series you go. Perhaps they assumed most people would get the first set, and then they plan to use the special features as selling points for later sets.

I doubt they'll release the commercials or foreign clips, but maybe the TV specials (with their corresponding arc) and the textless songs.Super Ghost Kamikaze wrote:So, no special features on this set. That means there are two possibilities:

Just received mine today, I opened it up and was really excited until I realized two of the discs had fallen off of the tray during shipping and both have noticeable dings and scratches. I planned on waiting to watch this set, but now I guess I have to watch it right away to make sure those discs work fine.

Is it just me, or does the free "economy shipping" totally blow?
The tracking information has yet to update since Wednesday, where it "Processed through Sort Facility."
I figured it would have taken the whole week, at the most. But nope. I think I can expect it by next Friday at this rate.

I had the economy shipping, it cam in days. But I am only 8 hours from the warehouse. But the tracking never updated. I ordered something Monday and it came on Wednesday. The Dragon Box shipped Tuesday and showed up Thursday.nathantheguitarist wrote:Is it just me, or does the free "economy shipping" totally blow?

From my experience, economy shipping, i.e. USPS, really only tells you A) that it has entered their system, and B) that it has arrived at your local post office. So I wouldn't expect a whole lot of updates, though it will take some time for them to get the bloody thing from place to place.
Not a problem.
