I'm still so anxious for new info, but I feel like I'm stuck waiting through the end of the year before Jump's magazines begin printing again.

The cast/staff page has a nice close-up of that shot of the DB's (minus #4) from the trailer as its background.

I'm starting to think that they really haven't completed animating this movie yet. Almost all the pictures I've seen on the website are in the trailer. Someone said earlier in the thread that Toei tends to work til the last minute; maybe it's true for their movies too? Or maybe they're really planning on keeping the contents of the film a secret til it's closer to the release-date. I probably should've followed OPZ more closely; I bet I'd have a better idea of it that way.

Bilus' awakening is said to frighten not only Kaio, but Kaioshin too. Same basic thing that was said in Bilus' character profile, but this makes it sound more like Kaioshin's in the movie...if only to do his trademark panic routine.

More interestingly, Goku is hanging out at Kaio's planet when Bilus and Whis (who was previously unmentioned) track him down. Combined with the shot of Goku fighting Bilus at Kaio's, this puts a new spin on Bilus' line about hoping there's someone on Earth more worthy to destroy: apparently the sequence of events is that Bilus beats Goku at Kaio's, then heads to Earth where he battles Vegeta, Gohan, and the others. And somehow that probably all leads to Goku and Bilus fighting in space for the big finish. Maybe.

On an unrelated note, I'm kinda bothered by the return of Kaio's planet but then again, it's Toriyama. I'm guessing Goku chose to hide out there and avoid having to go to Bulma's.

Really looking forward to how the movie pulls all of these plot points together. Particularly interested in Pilaf and the Dragon Balls and what their roles may be.

Not Freeza. He's not any more goofy than the Star wars aliens. Not even Cell looked goofy if you ask me. Virus looks kinda un-DragonBall to me if he's said to be the most powerful to ever exist in the entrie universe.

To their credit, Freeza, Cell, and most of Buu's forms are all humanoid in the facial area. Bilus is a fairly straightforward cat, and most of the animal characters in this series are comic relief or non-threatening. The only other person that comes to mind is Captain Yellow, who is essentially a non-character.

So Goku just goes and hangs out with Kaio on occasion? That's kinda neat. (I imagine a post-"Ossu!" Goku who is so battle-starved that he randomly drops by on friends while hoping to walk in on or trigger something exciting.)

I feel there is drama to be mined depending on if Bulma and/or Vegeta got upset with Goku (for accidentally eating her cake or accidentally destroying her gift) prior to him deciding to go hang out with Kaio and before Birusu makes his entrance. It probably won't happen, but I like the "horrified realization that them being angry at him over something that's so unimportant in the grand scheme of things might have been the last conversation with him they'd ever had" thing. >_>

The more tiny details emerge, the more I can't stop coming up with theories.

OK, here's a full translation of the updated Story Page. It's basically the same as the old plot summary, but with a few things added, though it's not really anything we hadn't already gotten from other sources.

Several years after the titanic battle with Majin Boo that determined the fate of the entire universe, the Earth was at peace, but now faces a new danger…

“If there’s a god who creates planets and life in this world, then there is also a god who destroys…” The god of destruction Bilus, who maintains the balance of the entire universe, has awakened from a long slumber! Bilus is said to push the limits of destruction once displeased, and his awakening throws not merely Kaio but even Kaioshin into a panic. Hearing rumors of a Saiyan who defeated Freeza, Bilus and Whis track down Goku on Kaio’s planet. Thrilled to see a strong opponent after so long, Goku ignores Kaio’s warning and challenges Bilus to battle, but is helpless before his overwhelming power and defeated! “I hope there’s someone on Earth more worthwhile to destroy” With those unnerving words, Bilus departs. The threat of Bilus creeps up on Vegeta, Gohan, and the other warriors on Earth…Will Goku and co. be able to stop Bilus’ destruction!?
