So Krillin got all that build-up for maybe half an episode of fighting. I have no idea how they thought this was a good thing. Even if they still wanted Krillin to be disqualified, they could have waited further into the tournament.
Would it really have made a difference though? If they waited till further in the tournament then they would have to still focus on someone else until they got to Krillin, because U7 aren't the only fighters that need a little time, in which case that's still time not being used for him. He would just be standing in the ring throwing punches at some random fighter like half the cast is currently doing until the fighters got shaved down then we would have this same scenario.

I think people are putting way too much value in how much time someone spends in the ring as opposed to how well they are doing. As long as Krillin goes out like a champ I don't really see why it matters whether he goes out now or later.

They didn't. Whis was actually upset since he told Goku and Vegeta could do this stuff at home and didn't need him. Nothing in his training had anything to do with god ki. The dimension Whis sent them only made them train within a faster amount of time, which is really no different from the time chamber.
Then we must be watching two different shows, because keeping Ki in your body while maintaining no leakage produces God Ki. The dimension they were sent to was key part into that, as seen they weren't even able to move a muscle until they mastered keeping in Ki their body without leakage. Incidentally, it was similar to the ROSAT in the regard speeding up your lurning curve and progress for training, but only for a specific type of training. With that said, I still think the way to attain God Ki is stupid.
That was never said in the show. That's just an assumption. If it was, please point to the episode.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

That's definitely what it feels like. It seems some people think being in longer automatically means he'd get any more focus.

This is quite interesting, Goku and Freeza fighting together is something that I would like to see in the actual arc, but Gogeta caught my attention there, what the rules of ToP says about Fusion? I know it's very unlikely to happen, but Gogeta being the last man in the Universe 7 would be pretty awesome.

I'd love the irises to be violet, but I really like red a lot too.

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but he's going out three episodes onto the tournament, and the pre-airing summary for the episode where he goes out puts a decent focus on Goku and Vegeta (cutting into any screen time for Kuririn), and it sounds like he screws up and gets disqualified. Plus, Toei tends to use Kuririn as incompetent comic relief. They already portrayed him as almost getting killed by Freeza's sub-Raditz scrubs in the RoF film because he ran into a tree. I wouldn't put it past Toei to have him go out like a chump for laughs.

It's a bit premature and it might be a good scene for him, but Toei's standard treatment of the character doesn't make me hopeful.
Besides, I'm usually disappointed instead of pleasantly surprised, so it's best to be cynical. :)

Personally I feel it's best to remain neutral. You don't have to be "Hype" but I don't feel there is any value in just being cynical. It sounds like it takes too much mental effort for me with no pay off.

But in any case,

Not expecting anything from Krillin is fine, but there isn't any real point in acting like he has been chumped before the episode even airs other than spreading premature outrage. Like I said, someone being in the ring for a huge amount of time doesn't mean they're doing anything worthwhile. I'm willing to bet there are plenty of nameless mooks that well be tossed out of the ring after Krillin but won't have as good a showing as he does.

If the new form has red irises, then it's automatically the best form.

No, they win when the time limit runs out.
There is however, another DB heroes card where Goku and Frieza face Hitto and Jiren. Will they be the final four?
It's unknown who the final four will be besides goku and jiren being two of them don't take stuff that happen in Hero's that seriously

I wouldn't be shocked if it came down to Frieza, Goku, Hit, and Jiren. Goku needs someone on his team to prevent Jiren from smacking him off of the map while he internalizes his ki for the new "form." And this person has to be Frieza, provided this person is from U7. Otherwise the entire subplot of Frieza manipulating the gods is pointless. He has to last extremely long, to put it lightly, for such a subplot to have any relevance at all. It's hard to conceive Hit losing prior to the final 4-5 as well, because a) he's Hit, and evolved at that, and b) The best way to job him is to wait until after we see the extent of his new powers, after we see him take down some serious threats, and make it all the way to the end with the likes of Goku.

Maybe an invisible/tiny fighter is in the top 4-5 too, who knows :D. I sure hope not. I don't want to be worrying about trivialities like that so late in the tournament.

It was said in episode 22 or 23 episode that the dimension they were training would significantly speed up their progress. If you're talking about the attainment of God Ki, it wasn't explicitly said on how to get it, but Goku and Vegeta were both training to master God Ki and keep Ki leakage to absoulete zero; evidently the training was more a case of show instead tell.

Goku and Freeza definitely have to be the last two remaining at this point. It's a shame though. After all this BS about team work and strategy, it's not going to matter. I'm interested in how they're going to ring out Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan though. I hope they are neat moments.

we don't know if freeza will be the last five standing
And we still don't know how the others will perform or be ringed out let alone the teamwork and strategy thing so it's better to wait and see this week and next to give us a better idea

Not a surprise there, remember how teamwork helped Gohan/Piccolo against Goku/Tien?Or in the latest episode where gohan and the baldies attacked those random opponents and in both times it did nothing?

-I feel bad for universe 9, particularly the Trio de Dangers. At least they had a good showing in the exhibition matches.
-I also feel bad for Krillin, so I hope he does good before he gets eliminated.
-Caulifla could possibly transform into super saiyan black hole in the next saga.
-Kale better do something that could redeem her character before she jobs.

Why would they have to be the last two of U7?

Gohan's probably going to make it to the end over Freeza. The new ending also wouldn't close on a Goku/Gohan scene for nothing.

Freeza will probably do something dumb to get himself disqualified toward the end.

This would be awesome. I also hope this time the hair won't be detailed as always, I'd like it to flow similar to Goku's SSJ when he first transformed, this picture gives the idea as the hair looks flowy.

Gohan outlasting Freeza is likely, but using the ED isn't all that good of an argument.
