I wonder why Toei would even have Fox involved with Movie 14. I'd rather Toei just hand it out to Funimation to dub it and call it a day.

I'm more interested in the plot than the run-time (though I do wish you good luck in finding out how long it'll be. My personal guess is probably about OPZ's length.) this month's VJump issue with its supposed spoilers can't arrive soon enough.

It's a side-effect from DBE. My theory is that when FOX purchased DB's movie distribution rights, whatever was in that contract also affected the releases of any future DB movies, including 2-D animated ones created by Toei.

Maybe Fox wants to hold to the DB rights a bit longer then we thought? After DBE failed, I would have guess that they would have let the rights die.

Hopefully, though, it won't be given the "Cooler's Revenge" treatment and have insert songs replaced by the likes of Disturbed and such. Or Flow's Cha La Head Cha La cover replaced by some band hired to do a new theme. Oh, the possible horrors...

I would prefer FUNimation to have it at this point since they're above that sort of thing now--FOX isn't. In fact, no one really knows what FOX would be willing to do to it to make it marketable to the Western world.

In this day and age (broken record) you can expect dual-audio, don't worry it won't be the Sum41 Bardock thing, if it is, you can always pop it back to JAP.

But a ruined dub is the same as a ruined product for me on this. After Kai, I won't go back to substandard dubs and licensed music for DBZ *not unless they break out Queen*. >_> Besides, if I were to support a product like that, it would be telling them it would be okay to do that for the next movie, and so on. Hopefully Fox doesn't pull this...but if they do, I'm not buying it. We waited too long to get that dream dub to have it snatched away (by the same company who gave us that terrible insult to Dragon Ball they call a movie).

I shouldn't have to worry about this after Kai. I hope it's just me being overly concerned.

I am excited for the movie though, and I hope it is good.

I think Fox is at least as likely as Funimation to handle this competently. No need to worry.
