Actually, let me add Dabura to that team as well (Supreme Kai and the boys I'm not including because I can't imagine they'd be of any consequence).

So:

Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta + Dabura vs. Fat Boo?

Still Fat Boo.

How about Gotenks (Pre-RoSaT training), and Piccolo as addition to the team?

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

Still Fat Boo. I think SS Gotenks was under Maouji Vegeta before his RoSaT training.

Is Fat Buu staying at his initial power or does he rage out?

Initial power, right out of the ball. Everyone's there and ready to take it seriously. Babidi's dead and Dabura's game to help the good guys.

They win if Dabura manages to spit on Buu.

Which is highly unlikely to happen.

If Dabra spits on Boo he only needs to separate a single molecule from himself to regenerate completely and escape unharmed.

Unless he spits on his cape when Buu is distracted. Odds of that happening are slim though.

Or Dabura, Piccolo, Gohan, and Gotenks could try and distract Buu while Goku and Vegeta fuse. Since Buu wants to fight strong guys, all they have to do is say they have a strong guy coming to face him. Buu will actually wait to fight Gogeta.

This basically ends up being a more drawn out version of what actually happened. Vegeta and Goku spend the majority of the fight smacking Buu around without actually dealing out any real damage, then Buu gets serious and turns the table on both of them. Gohan tries to help but doesn't last long and Dabura and Piccolo get swatted away like flies.

Grade 3 (no speed drawback) vs SSJ2

Post by dbzfan7 » Sat Nov 17, 2012 2:24 pm

I still would say SSJ2 is better. Even when Trunks SSJ Grade 3 struck Cell in his restricted form, he never did that much damage, Gohan has Cell on his knees in 2 punches. I know there is a strength difference between Gohan and Trunks, But Cell even weakened himself for Trunks so I would say it evens things out.

Since the multipliers were

SSJ=50x
SSJ2=100x (I think it's too low)

Where would the grades fit?
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

IMO:
SSJ: x50
SSJG2: 1.5x SSJ
SSJG3: 2x SSJ
SSJ2 and SSJG3 are equal in terms of power and strength IMO but SSJG3 is just way too damn slow.

Assuming the two saiyans are equals before transforming, I think Grade 3 could well be the more powerful of the two. Basically, if Vegeta was a bit stronger than Trunks, and Cell was significantly stronger than Vegeta, and Trunks far surpassed Cell's strength when he used Grade 3 (which Cell himself said), then Grade 3's boost must have been pretty big, don't you think? And that's on top of the difference between regular Super Saiyan and Grade 2. If I look at it that way, it seems a bit hard to fit both Grades 2 and 3 into the gap between Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 (unless we ignored the Super Saiyan 2 multiplier from the Super Exciting Guides, at least). If nothing else, I think this is a possibility.

I should mention that I'm going by the manga only, in which Trunks never lays a single hit on Cell while using Grade 3.
