Being the seiyu newbie that I am, I wiki'd what roles the voice actors of Jaco and Omori have done.

Tsubasa Yonaga (Jaco): Has recently voiced Nagisa Hazuki from the pretty-boy swimming anime Free!. Kind of a rookie. I did like his voice for Jaco though. He did voice the Blue Beetle in the Japanese dub of Batman: The Brave and the Bold which is funny because of his visual similarities to Jaco.

Issei Futamata (Omori): Has voiced a multitude of characters. Some of his recent roles are the new Hunter X Hunter anime. He voices the narrator and the chimera ant Peggy. That made me double my respect for him because of his awesome job as Hunter X Hunter's narrator. He has been providing almost the majority of voice work in recent episodes. Maybe a little too much though I heard that's because of how the manga was structured at that point in the arc. He has voiced characters from anime like Code Geass, Death Note, Inuyasha, Detective Conan, Yu Yu Hakusho, and yes, even Dragon Ball! He voiced, according to Wikipedia, an Usagi gang member. This doesn't ring a bell. Maybe a filler character? :|

Huh, who has he played in Death Note, Conan, and Yu Yu Hakusho? As for 'Usagi gang member', that should be one of Monster Carrot's two goons.

Death Note: Kyōsuke Higuchi
Detective Conan: Haruo Chōno
Yu Yu Hakusho: Shikkō, Urashima, Yū Kaitō

He also voiced the character Kōsetsu Urabe in Code Geass. Again, this is all from Wikipedia. I should have realized that had something to do with Boss Rabbit. It sounded familar, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

Oh okay, cool. I know who Higuchi, Urashima, and Kaito are, but can't quite recall who Shikko or Chono are. And still haven't seen Code Geass. Seems to be a well-rounded actor just from that list of roles though.

Jaco sharing VA's with Nagisa sounds hilarious. X3 (*Has watched Free! and enjoyed it in all of its good cheese.)

The page for the Jaco Vomic says I need to install a plugin, but it doesn't say what plugin. ^^;
Any ideas what plugin it is?
On hiatus.

The file is Windows Media format, so if you're on a Mac, you'll need to install the Flip4Mac plugin before you can watch. I don't know if there are any options for iOS or Android.

Thank you!

I tried a browser different than the one I'd been using and I got it to load.

I like the voices for the characters in this, they fit well. If they do continue this vomic past the first chapter, I would definitely watch further chapters of it.

And it's written in Chinese, for what it's worth.

You know, a continuation of Dragon Ball past the Boo arc is a nice idea, but Jaco also proves that diving into the past of the Dragon World - even before all of our heroes and unprecedented powers became part of it - can hold many great adventures, even with completely new characters!

It would be too much to ask for a new anime that would follow that path, but video games should consider creating some action-RPG-adventure game in the vast Dragon World years before Goku arrived. There would be enough content to create inspiring, whole new stories in a game that would last 40 hours at least!

Well, that's how I feel about Jaco, you just FEEL the Dragon World's magic, even when your beloved characters are not part of it and there's not yet world-endangering threats.

The second "Vomic" is online on http://vomic.shueisha.co.jp/jyako/^^

I noticed that the following panel was colored/shaded differently in the Vomic than it was in Viz's Weekly Shonen Jump (2013 #40): Image
Chapter 1/Weekly Shonen Jump (2013 #33) (left), Weekly Shonen Jump (2013 #40) (middle), second "Vomic" (right)
What do you guys think is the reason for this? Could one possibly be colored by Toriyama and the other by some Shueisha staff...?

The version included with Toriyama's essay ("The Inside Story on Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, Part 1") is almost certainly Toriyama's. The one that's used in the "Vomic" is too flat for his current style.

I've been enjoying the Vomic colors (the colors underneath the dot tones is really cool looking to me), but seeing that panel I was definitely like "Hey that doesn't look nearly as good as the one Toriyama colored!"

It seems there will be 2 Ginga Patrol Jako Volumes editions: normal and limited editions.

Normal edition 440 yen, limited edition 907 yen.

No information about limited edition contents.

While it is nice to know the prices, I was speaking more in terms of whether the limited edition's contents would entice me to upgrade, rather than how much I would actually be spending.
