Saying that anyone who didn't think your joke is funny is 5 isn't very mature either. Also, I'm pretty sure Hellspawn thought it was funny because it was poorly constructed, not because the letter itself is funny. But don't get too down, you win some, and you lose some. The people on this board have a certain brand of humor you need to use, try looking over your joke to see if it could be made better before you post.ssjtrunks51 wrote:It seems that someone here is above the age of 5. I thought the note was funny seeing how stupid and poorly constructed it was. Anyways, can we get back on topic now?

Being "poorly constructed" was basically what I aimed for, for humour effect. Drastic fail.
Wait, what? Something about topic? Yeah, why not?
So...I've been playing budokai 3, and I've got to say I hope that the next Raging Blast has elements from this game, though it's impossible. Unlike that letter I wrote, this would be an effective way to stop spammers. Not only do you have to land a dragon rush so you can do your ultimate, if your opponent is good enough you'll end up killing yourself (Gotenks accidentally touching his own kamikaze ghost and exploding, taking damage? Hilarious).

I hated the Dragon Rush in Budokai 3. It's just that it happened so frequently because of the computer abusing it to no end, and it just became an action-stopping nuisance. Whenever you go into that burst mode or whatever (that red aura that enables you to use Dragon Rush), the AI just runs away from you until you run out of energy. You can say it's a matter of tactics, blah blah blah, but it just got in the way. Budokai 3's a good game, don't get me wrong, but the Dragon Rush was a drawback.ssjtrunks51 wrote:I've been playing budokai 3, and I've got to say I hope that the next Raging Blast has elements from this game, though it's impossible. Once again, I have been owned.
EDIT: Does anyone else find that they are equivalent to a god when they play battle zone, but when they play online they couldn't snap attack to save their life (sometimes, literally)? In the month or so that I've had the game for, half of this time I spent playing online and yet I can't get my BP above 100 because I have an awful one second delay between my button presses and my character's response. Sometimes the game thinks I'm doing really skilled combos when actually I'm spamming the square button.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
The Dragon Rush was annoying but I've always loved that specials could backfire in the Budokai series. It adds an extra little challenge to the game and it makes it so you aren't just watching too many cut scenes. Nothing annoys me more than getting into a fight and watching the same interrupting cut scene over and over again(without doing anything). It's why I hated drama pieces and rush attacks(in the BT series).

I found "Raging Soul" in the game to be the most annoying thing in a DBZ game since Dragon Rush. Not to mention I pretty much suck at it and it's drains way to quicky.

Aside from the change in music what does Raging Soul do? I tried it in the demo and it really didn't help anything.Hellspawn28 wrote:I found "Raging Soul" in the game to be the most annoying thing in a DBZ game since Dragon Rush. Increases attack power & allows you to chain together more combos.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Aside from the change in music what does Raging Soul do? I admit that feature was good in Budokai 3. There was an element of chance in winning a Dragon Rush, and neither of you were sure-fire to pull off the finishing attack. Still, it's hard to appreciate that when you're dragged into it repeatedly.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:The Dragon Rush was annoying but I've always loved that specials could backfire in the Budokai series. No I know. That's why I like Budokai 2's and IW's(from what I've played) a bit more.Piccolo Daimao wrote:

So it's like when you power up all the way in BT3?mysticboy wrote: Increases attack power & allows you to chain together more combos.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
Not quite. By chain together more combos, I mean do more cancels, not a continuous flurry of punches and kicks.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:So it's like when you power up all the way in BT3?mysticboy wrote:Increases attack power & allows you to chain together more combos.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
They're called followups now, not cancels. They're pretty similar though, except if you do a character's entire Raging soul combo, you do a really awesome ping pong attack which does huge damage. Also, if you try to do a controlled dash you teleport two metres instead.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything special. Last time it was just a bunch of custom pre-sets.DNA wrote:By the way people, where's the freaking DLC? Tired of waiting here.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
We got some enhanced characters with the limited edition with bonus costumes. Most of them suck, though. I was told I would be getting a Demon King Piccolo (Daimao or whatever), but instead we got piccolo in a light blue gi, red belt, and no kanji. Lazy. There's some pretty easy DLC that they could do, though. Take the red color of Yardrat Goku's pants, and put them on his normal gi. There you have cell saga Goku who, personally, I would be using a lot. Or they could just finish what they started with Demon King Piccolo and give him the damn Kanji. I could ramble on and on about how easy it is to make us new costumes without even having to model...all they need to do is recycle.DNA wrote:Yeah I know it's a bunch of costum pre-sets. This game is not like Black Ops or Reach where they give like new maps or anything. The chances are the DLC will be some new skins for the character.
