Most likely, especially since Funimation might be into the idea of having as many releases as possible for sale purposes (like with 8 Kai part releases followed by 4 Kai season set releases). As for when this might be announced, Funimation has apparently planned their April 2016 releases (
http://www.fandompost.com/2016/01/13/gu ... ase-slate/) and Kai isn't on it. But as evidenced by when Funimation's acquisition of Dragon Ball Kai (first series) was announced back in February 2010 (
http://ir.navarre.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=1 ... ID=1395751), it's possible we might get an announcement next month. This combined with Funimation always making sure to release new DB content every year since they've had the DB property supports we could see it this year (I know I keep bringing this up). However, I have no idea how Funimation's release schedule works.
Because of this (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icTqUqhHKQY), people are speculating it will air on Toonami first because of Toei possibly pushing for a TV deal. But Kai is only 53 episodes in and is BARELY hitting the Android Saga so there's still less than a year left (98 episodes - 53 episodes = 44 more episodes/weeks, excluding possible Toonami breaks) from this point on until Kai finishes its first run on Toonami.
However, like someone else on here previously mentioned, Funimation might be planning a cable channel (
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases ... 92374.html) and has also announced a new logo/streaming service (
http://www.fandompost.com/2016/01/07/fu ... new-plans/). Finally, notice a pattern here. The original announcement of Funimation's acquisition of Dragon Ball Kai was announced in February of 2010 and the series released and aired in May 2010. Now, they're teasing new apps for both February and May 2016 (this could simply be a seasonal thing with August and November being the next months).
I'm most definitely probably overspeculating, but with them rebranding themselves and teasing their new plans, does anyone think this includes Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters (which Justin Cook has already confirmed they're doing as someone else had previously mentioned on here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6Udydd ... .be&t=1358)???!!! I understand this constant talk of possibilities can get dull and we should probably just wait for a proper announcement, but I'm just curious.
