It confuses me how some girls I know whine about not having enough "badass" female characters yet they don't care that much about the fight scenes. When I talk about DBZ with my friends, they always rant about a character's appearance, filler romantic/fanservice moments, and SOMETIMES characters interactions with each other while totally ignoring what the series is famous for: the fights. I was talking about the android arc with my best friend and when I asked her whether she liked Vegeta's fight with No.19 she said "Oh yeah, I skipped that part...I wanted to see Trunks return". How the hell can you simply skip a fight?! It makes me feel like a tomboy. :problem:
That fight was brutal. I loved it.

IF there were new female additions, I wouldn't blame them if they can't keep up with Goku and Vegeta because that would be ridiculous by now. But we can agree that at least at human levels, I would expect them to be as strong as Krillin and Yamcha. At the very least to learn how to fly around and shooting basic ki blasts. I mentioned before that I would have loved for Bulma to make some kind of gun-device that could be pre-charged with Ki and used as a weapon.
Too bad Videl forgot how to fly, apparently.

I completely agree! Especially the bit about Mary Sues. It's why I kind of cringe when people ask for Bra to be some super strong SSJ. She can be strong enough to hold her own, but I'd much prefer her to take after her mother and be a prodigy in the field of engineering.

My impretion is that the first like 5 episodes will be about the daily life of the Z fighters (with maybe some fights in between), this is something interesting, they got my attention :)
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

well, I'm hyped. I wouldnt want a super duper evil unstoppable villian right on the first episode. But rather a warm welcome to DB fans after more than a decade of hiatus (for the series I mean, not the movies).

Based on that translation, it looks like I was right, it starts off just after Buu is defeated, and then ties into BoG and FnF

The other translation states Videl is soon-to-be sister in law. Any comment on that?
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

Beerus and his servant Whis have already cut quite a figure in the two latest movies, and now they’re set to appear as regular cast members for this TV series!
Meanwhile, Goten heads out on an adventure with Trunks to find a gift for his sister-in-law Videl!?
This makes more sense now. It's become more vague, but at least it makes more sense.

Haha. I don't know why people wanted her to be a fighter so badly in GT. Yeah, she's already strong enough thanks to her saiyan genes. Having her show off her strength a little like Pan did before the tournament began at EoZ wouldn't be a bad idea though. But SSJ? Well, that's too much. Why force her to train if she's not really into fighting? People just keep whining about her not being a fighter despite being Vegeta's daughter, forgetting that she's Bulma's daughter as well.

Vegeta's kids have so much potential to become Mary Sues. I disliked Future Trunks when he first appeared. He gave off such a strong Gary Stu-ish vibe that It felt like reading a really bad fanfic. I only started to like him later on when he revealed his true, flawed self.
If Bra does become a strong SSJ, and assuming that she has her mother's brains, then she'll be perfect in every way except... Well, her name.

I can't wait to see Goku turn radish farming into a training session. I wonder if they'll make a Raditz joke.

What's this about Beerus running amok, possibly?

Tanooki Kuribo had a fun Raditz pun about this the other day; will see if I can find it.

EDIT: It was:
The first episode of DBS should be "Arrival of Radish".

Goku joking about his dead brother seems inappropriately funny...

So it sounds to me like the first episode or maybe two will be pre-BoG and then the next couple of episodes will link BoG and RF together. I bet we don't spend anymore than 10 episodes pre-RF. I'm going to guess a random number and say the first 7 episodes will all be pre-RF and then they will go beyond that movie.

With references to the JSAT special, I wonder if we'll see Abo and Kado? They would make amusing farmhands for Goku, and I can just imagine what will happen if they encounter Jaco when the series catches up with RoF.

Goku gets a job as the first episode? Makes him becoming a kid and traveling through space in GT sound like the most exciting thing ever by comparison.
