Yeah. I would really like them to get a better look at his mind. Hallucinations could be a good way to go.

The brief glimpses we see, whether they count or not, so lend to Gokû having the more active imagination of the two. One would think Vegeta world have the more gruesome visions and imagination, but that seems to be Gokû who does.

I have to say I'm hyped to see where this goes. While I'm a little disappointed the movies are most likely an AU now, the thought of these movies being fleshed out more to explain everything is interesting. Makes me wonder if EOZ will be rectoned in some way too?

He's not hallucinating really, he's just imagining he's fighting Boo, Cell and Freeza.

Kinda like how Kuririn and Gohan did some image-training on their way to Namek, except Goku actually moved while imagining.

I don't adhere to any canon, I pick what I like. If I like Super BOG better than movie BOG, I'll count that. If not, then vise versa.

So I don't think that it'll try to retcon BOG and ROF, but just show up to the very point the films start, and then explain it somehow (maybe in the Next Episode Preview?)

You gotta love the difference between Gohan and Goku.

Gohan would have nightmares over those villains as a kid (he literally did in a filler episode), and wake up scared.

Goku actually fantasizes about them long after they're dead, and gets hyped.

If Super ends up having just a recap of BoG and RF then it doesn't make them "non-canon", really. It just appears that they won't do it, since Beerus is awake 2 years (?) prior to actually waking up in the movie. So unless Toriyama's memory is really short, it appears all is pointing towards them re-writing stuff.

I am gonna love this series so much if it continues with the tone of the first chapter. God I just loved this chapter, now it's just a wait for the anime to start. Beyond hyped!

Noah this chapter is currently taking place during BoG, just before Goku goes to Kaios. At least I think that's the case.

I don't mind them re-writing the movies, tbh. Kind of reminds me of Tenchi Universe, which was a tv series re-telling of the OVA series, Tenchi Muyo, only it transitioned into a completely different story. >.>

But... I don't think they will. Maybe retcon certain things, but I don't think we'll have episodes rehashing events. Could be wrong. Don't mind either way.

There was a theory that Super will eventually just edit down the new films into an episodic format; I wouldn't put it past them to try that.
