I’d want and expect one off the characters to be Gogeta Blue (or maybe even Gogeta UI).

I don't think we'll get a fusion UI before Vegeta gets it so if Gogeta's in it'll most likely be Blue.

But remember that we do know that a fusion can use the abilities of both its fusees. Sot UI Gogeta wouldn’t be impossible. I’d take UI Gogeta, SSBEvolution Gogeta, SSBKKx20 Gogeta, and even SSBEKKx20 Gogeta.
Although out of any Gogeta, SSBGogeta is the most likely with a medium chance that he’ll use SSBKK.

He doesn’t really seem that important enough. I wonder how many more new characters we’ll get. We have 4 months worth of character reveals left. I doubt they’d reveal who the 2 secret characters were especially if one of them was Gogeta since it would be a spoiler. But we’ll find out from the merch.

I know, I just don't think the writers will want to give him that before Vegeta gets it. They will also probably want to save that kind of strength for a future villain so for the time being I think Blue Gogeta will be enough for Broly. It'll also give them more option for marketing instead of jumping right to UI.

That wasn’t a silhouette of Kefla at all though. That was more like Toriyama’s concept art for Controlled SSJ Kale minus her hair to make it a mystery. The actually figure did not resemble the silhouette and it even said that the character wouldn’t resemble the silhouette.

Anyways, according to Baggie_Saiyan, we’ll be able to tell whether the hidden characters are just transformations for either Goku, Vegeta, and Broly, (what about Freeza though?). We’ll also be able to tell if the hidden characters are fusions or just new characters. I don’t really know if you can consider Bardock and Gine “new” characters.

I hope the hidden characters surprise me as well. Although I have a feeling at least one of them is Gogeta.

For WCFs we will be able to tell (if there are blank characters in that), those will get revealed next week too. But Ichiban Kuji is a different ball game since ratio's for Ichiban Kuji figures are always between 1&2 so no way we'll be able to tell anything unless they release a silhouette.

(The UI WCF was straight blanked, but the Ichiban Kuji had the silhouette.)

The odds of these hidden characters being Saiyan are high since the last non Saiyan to be in an Ichiban Kuji was Freeza back in September 2015 we've had about 14 (yes 14!) Ichiban Kuji's since then with all figures Saiyans.

I wonder what people hope these secret characters are. I’d want and expect one off the characters to be Gogeta Blue (or maybe even Gogeta UI) or something. The other one is a long shot but i’d hope it would be Yamoshi.

Yamoshi would warrant importance over Vegeta if he is in the film and the lore about him is fleshed out even more.

I’m kind of on the fence about Bardock but i want to lean more towards him not being new. Probably the same with Gine. But chances are that if Bardock is one of the new character figures, Gine is the other and vice-versa. They’re a pair so they’d probably be advertised and sold as one too.

I’d be happy if Paragus played a bigger role than he did in Movie 8. But above all, I REALLY want Yamoshi to be one of them.

Maybe, but the "Characters A & B" to me imply not but could very well be.

Very considerate of Toei to give dubbing studios a rough cut of the film so that they can get a dub finished on time. It’s almost unheard of for anime films to receive a dub and release so soon after it comes out in Japan.

I don’t get why they keep comparing this movie to a space opera. Looking up what a space opera is, it seems like something you would never see in Dragon Ball.

I think he's just hyping it up as a grand space adventure.

It’s almost unheard of for anime films to receive a dub and release so soon after it comes out in Japan.

It's also unheard of to see an anime be internationally as big as it is domestically so it's nice to finally see them realize the potential DB has overseas which is way overdue.

I think only Pokemon is more widespread than Dragon Ball, for an anime franchise. But even then, Pokemon is marketed mainly towards kids. Dragon Ball, while originally for kids, has found a wide audience with older audiences as well.

Lol. More PR bullshit from Hayashida. The "DBS episode 5 had newbie animators" dude. All major films have the luxury of providing a rough cut and having time to do corrections before the final version. The HeroAca movie is the most recent example. This guy knows nothing about the industry.

I like how involved Toriyama is this time. I always wanted him to be as involved as possible and this is perfect. Though I wonder if he will want to stick with movies only, to keep the quality high and to oversee the whole thing better.
But I want a new show so much, which is why I hope they will start to plan it out as soon as possible so that the schedule is perfect and Toriyama can check things better, for a more consistent show writing-wise. Of course a good production would also mean that supervisors get more time to correct their episodes, so that the art is consistent every week. 1 supervisor per episode would also be very nice, if possible.

I know this won't happen, but I would love it if the show returns as a seasonal anime rather than a long-running series. It would work wonders for the production. It would give Toriyama, the editors and the writers plenty of time to flesh out the story.

Looks like this film should be good, nothing in the DBS franchise has been hyped the way this film is being by the producer. Obviously it’s best not to expect way too much as it will probably lead to disappointment, but I’m hoping for something a little meaty.

I’m loving how involved Toriyama is with this film, hopefully when he puts this much effort in we’ll actually get something akin to his older work. Even though it’s an old character being used, can he add his charm to this film and make it his own? Only time will tell.

The only thing that worried me with the producers comments is that we found out that this is the first time Toriyamas been able to check over everything the anime is doing. Obviously it makes sense that the anime couldn’t show everything because of how tight their schedule was.

That's what I thought too, but at least I get confirmation that of course he didn't look over everything, so it's all good.
People can go nuts for all I care, it won't be something I'll spend my time bothering with.
