Looks like Aya Hirano is returning as Dende. Glad they didn't let that tired scandal affect her important work as an extremely minor character in a shonen show aimed at kids too young to care about sex.

Idea sparked by Kaboom's post just now.
*Suddenly wonders if the name-puns are "bells" and "whistles" in reference to the phrase "bells and whistles". Even though the phrase refers to extraneous features, placing it against characters who are supposed to be bringers of destruction could be something contrasting in a "piccolo, a high-pitched musical instrument" = demon king kind of thing.*

"bells and whistles", I think we're close the name puns. Bills and Whis form a pair like bells and whistles.

Seems like a real stretch. "Bell" in Japanese is ベル/beru rather than ビル/biru. And yeah, a pun doesn't have to be the same as its source, but ビ/bi for ベ/be doesn't seem like a particularly natural substitution in Japanese. You could just as well claim the character's name is a pun on "bull" and that they swapped in ビ/bi for ブ/bu.

I also don't think too many Japanese people would be familiar with the expression "bells and whistles". Of course, maybe they were trying to go for something obscure, but combined with "Birusu" not being very close to "bell" I think this isn't a very likely source for the name.

His name Bills is related to that of Whis and the two form a pair (bells and whistles). Also, bells are related to cats: remeber Korin's bell in Dragon Ball.
And Whis conducting an orchestra in Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission while performing his super attack, "Opening/Prelude to Destruction". Now we've found their names are related to music/sound/musical instruments.

Yeah, it's just another image of the poster.

I don't know why, but I just love seeing DBZ posters up in theatres. It's the same feeling I got when I first saw The Simpsons Movie in cinemas. Y'know, that kind of excitement you get when your favourite show is receiving its own movie and you get to watch it in a crowd ?

Since we can't see the shoulder strap Vegeta's armor looks a lot like the the one he used during the Freeza fight, only with a light-blue undersuit.
