Dragon Ball Super is the first series to list a company other than Toei, Toei Animation and Fuji TV under 制作. Yomiko was also involved in the production of Yuu Yuu Hakusho, which also aired on Fuji TV.

They've been involved with Kai from the very beginning, just haven't been credited outright. A Yomiko producer has always been on its production staff.

Don't know about that, I really disliked EoZ and hope they just steamroll over GT with DBS. I wouldn't mind them retconning EoZ to be completely honest.

Yeah, I guess it's subjective. However, what I like about EoZ is that it gives the feeling that it's not over for these characters. What I like about EoZ is that it has a kinda "hopeful for the future" feel to it. These characters who've been through a whole lot can go on and live their lives, Goku starts training someone to protect the world and Vegeta is looking forward to his next fight with Kakarot. It's how it's supposed to be, I feel. I wouldn't want to have a new series that has one of the main characters dying for good or whatever at the end. Or do some nonsensical stuff like GT did with Goku at the end.

If this wasn't Toriyama's Story, I would be very cautious, I do not like GT, and as a result, Toei should no longer be allowed to produce anything Dragon Ball without Toriyama.

And that is simply my opinion on it, and I mean no disrespect to those who do like it. Please, FUNi, give us at least a subtitled simulcast! (though a broadcast dub would be preferable - not that I'm greedy at all hehe).

I was satisfied with the new movies - bigger budget, bigger production, better result. But man, f this isn't the news of the century, I don't know what it is. All aboard the Hype Train!

How I loved this to take place after EOZ. Teen Goten, Teen Trunks, Pan, Uub... I think today is the perfect day to dream.

BOG was announced on Tuesday.

Super was announced on Tuesday.

I see where you're coming from. My main issues with EoZ stems from the whole idea of Uub. But i do like EoZ far more than EoGT and if they keep the former and remove the latter, I'll be happy

My mixed feelings about SSJG and God Ki SSJ aside, how could they honestly make so other characters get a chance to shine?

Completely agree, the first thing GT does right turned out to be the last thing GT did.

I'm actually surprised Toei didn't use FnF to announce the new anime, like a special preview with footage after the credits Avengers style. Seems like it would have been the perfect vehicle to make the biggest splash. Would also drive ticket sales making people pay for the movie to get the first look at Super.

To kinda round off my statements about the endings. In my opinion, the best ending to the series will always be Toyble's final chapter. Manly tears that day...Manly tears...

I want a completely different and new opening for DBS. No more recycling themes and openings from other Dragon Ball shows or products. Something fresh and unique is what DBS needs.

All the hype aside, were there any questions or suggestions in the manga or anime regarding what would happen after the defeat of Buu?

Not sure what to make of this, it's certainly exciting but I think I would prefer a spin-off series. Also, I'm a bit afraid of Toriyama involvement, with all due respect but the man is way past his prime and has been losing his edge as he grows older. Would rather have Toyotaro hired.

Anyway, hope Toei learned its lesson with GT and actually puts some effort to make a quality series this time.
