That is what I'm thinking. People have to understand you can't expect these guys to have everything they want when this game is already looking like it is giving us more than any past game. Clashes would be difficult to manage in team battles, but they could make it work. It just wasn't a priority in this one. I don't see why they couldn't have beam clashes on XV1 but maybe we'll have on XV2.
A few ways it could work, imo:
- While in a beam struggle, other characters can TRY to approach the beams/the characters in the struggle, but it'll hurt them and knock them away if they get within a certain range. Also ranged attacks bounce off or are blocked by the energy of the struggle.
- Teammates can join up to help by adding another blast.
